Do you want to be involved in the TiBB Razzies?

How much interest is there in the Razzies going ahead?

I've spoken to a few people who seem keen to be involved. The main purpose of this thread is to establish the interest level and to appeal to James to allow it to be held on this site.

If it can't be held on here, I have an offsite place set up and ready to go where we can hold it. The only problem is that it can't really be moderated if it's offsite, so I think most people would rather it was held here.

So, TiBBers.. please answer the poll.. and James, please can you clarify if you will allow it to be held here. :)

Cheers.

It's early yet.

Lee. 03-12-2013 03:20 PM

Yes definitely! I think most do tbh

lily. 03-12-2013 03:20 PM

True.

I think it's a laugh. The day I start giving a flying fuck about insults on the internet will be a sad day indeed lol

Kate! 03-12-2013 03:22 PM

There is no Tibb Razzies. It's cancelled. And if people think doing it offsite with no moderation (so it'll be vicious) and an almost definite outcome of members coming back here and talking about who said what about who isn't going to cause **** then they are silly.

Smh.

lily. 03-12-2013 03:24 PM

I'm well aware it's cancelled. I think it's a bad decision. There is a lot of interest in doing it. Matt puts a lot of work into it. Some people need to just accept that other people enjoy it.

Brother Leon 03-12-2013 03:25 PM

No problem with it. Only really a rare few that do tbf.

Livia 03-12-2013 03:26 PM

It's not like it can be stopped from happening off the forum, anyone can do anything they like off the forum. I'd much rather it go ahead on here considering it's only a few people who object. But if not, I'm all for it going on off the forum.

Kate! 03-12-2013 03:26 PM

Some people need to accept that for some members it's just an excuse to be nasty and insulting under the guise of 'it's all in fun' hence a licence to say stuff that would be infraction worthy in a normal thread.

lily. 03-12-2013 03:26 PM

I think it's fair to assume that Matt will allow people to ask to be excluded from being nominated. Therefore the whole thing doesn't affect anyone who doesn't wish to participate.

Livia 03-12-2013 03:28 PM

I think most people will take it as the bit of fun it is. I'm happy for people to say whatever the feck they like about me. And some probably do that off site already.

fingers 03-12-2013 03:28 PM

I have no Idea what it's about or why it was cancelled, so that will be an "abstain" from me.

Smithy 03-12-2013 03:29 PM

Lola belle humbug indeed :idc:

Cherie 03-12-2013 03:35 PM

Don't mind either way.

It's basically the opposite of Most Loved... where you get to vote for people based on categories such as:

Most Argumentative Member
Most Vain Member
Most Obsessed Member
Biggest Attention Seeker
Gruesome Twosome
Worst Influence
The no1curr Award
The 'Oh No You Di'nt!' Award
The WOMBAI Memorial Cup for Excessive Oestrogen
Most Likely To Leave And Come Back Within A Few Minutes
Most Likely To Have A Mental Breakdown
Most Likely To Be The Next Hugo
Worst Forum
Worst Thread
Most Boring TiBB Story, Show or Game
Cringeworthiest Moment
Biggest Fail
Fall From Grace
Hall Of Shame

For me, the highlight of the razzies is seeing the list of absurd nominations for stuff like "biggest fail". I wish I could quote some examples from previous years but I can't. Maybe about 20% of it is the actual voting, because I try to make weird ones rather than spiteful ones. "Glenn's attempts to be relevant these past 5 years" for example - it's not mean, it's not nasty, it's just... Glenn's an irrelevant mess lol <3 And we get along, so...

And when obscure members get nominated too. I remember the year Billy nominated Ann for everything

Lee. 03-12-2013 03:42 PM

What did Hugo do/say?

HD 03-12-2013 03:43 PM

I had a retarded moment and clicked no instead yes, tragic.

i'm voting yes, even though it says no... this is so embarrassing.

fingers 03-12-2013 03:43 PM

Well, I guess I don't care either way!

he was a fake identity, basically. So basically "who's the next Mollie" for today's crowd

Tom4784 03-12-2013 03:45 PM

It would be better for the Razzies to go ahead on Tibb where we can mod it, if it takes place offsite then we can't do anything to moderate it and it'll obviously end up effecting Tibb. Last Year's would have gone a lot more smoothly if the people that opted out actuallly...you know...opted out as they caused trouble every 5 minutes in a desperate attempt to get it cancelled out of pure spite.

If you're gonna opt out of a Game or an Award or whatever then leave it well alone afterwards. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Just put yourself in line for a faily award now lol.. jk

I'm gonna wait for James to see/respond to this thread, and if it's a no-go on here, I'll make sure everyone who wants to be involved get the URL to the offsite location. :)

I've tried fighting for this and will continue to do so. I mean if putting people off the forum is such an issue why is more not done to gain new members?

I see lots of people registering every day, and then they simply vanish.

Natalie. 03-12-2013 03:59 PM

Yes as I haven't seen it before and I'm interested in seeing it.

lily. 03-12-2013 04:02 PM

The rules on here often contradict themselves.. they are too strict with some things, and too lenient with others.. But, it's not my decision whether it can be hosted here.. I just wanted to get some honest opinions and proper debate about it..

Last years did go ahead, they were just delayed until February.

This sums it up for me, it's almost this camp awards ceremony that just completely takes the piss :joker:

I'm up for it....here or some place else.

lily. 03-12-2013 04:27 PM

I can't recall any of those who opted out making major trouble on the night of the awards :suspect:
