Nicole outsings poor Sam, told ya
 

I said Nicole would steal Sam's limelight in the duet and surprise surprise, she did. She did it last year to Jahmain and snatched the mic to make sure she was heard (James managed to out do her).

Don't get me wrong Nicole has a great vocal (I am shocked she is not as successful as some of the top US stars) but she showed Sam up, plus shehas the looks, charisma and sexiness Sam lacks.

but yeah her performance with Sam was mindblowing and gave me the same feeling when Alexandra and Beyonce performed, I truly believe Sam will win now because of that and I want her to as well.

Am I the only person that thought Nicole and Sam singing together was horrible? It was like who can scream the loudest. It hurt my ears.

Nicole did brilliant, but I felt that the limelight should have been on Sam B but Nicole took it away from her.

Sam was really bland tonight for me, even Nicholas's Candy has stuck in my head more than any of Sam Bailey's performances.

tbf I thought Sam was great tonight, but Nicholas was pants, I blame Scotland for being tone deaf.

Sam B and Nicholas are both really bland and they will flop really hard in the charts, it's two Karaoke singers at the top 2 imo, it's a farce.

They were both phenomenal together.

Liked Luke/Ellie duet a lot. Nick was ok, Sam/Nicole voices don't really go well together.

Nicole is full package. If Sam was better than Nicole, then the fact that Sam is mumsy not conventionally attractive, unsexy, boringly married sweet but frumpy would not have mattered, but Nicole has looks, personality style sexiness AND is more talented. Why bother with Sam?

Female acts have to really market themselves now eg beyonce's sudden 17 videos, miley's naked wrecking ball, gaga's art pop nonsense. Male artists like jason derulo, pharell williams did less promo and succeeded. How the hell would Sam market herself?

Luke's votes won't go anywhere as he was an alternative to bland Sam and Nicholas. The two finalists probably OVERLAP the most. If you like Sam b you probably like Nicholas.

Likewise RC voters wll probably have stopped watching.

You are probably right there, I was voting for Luke and now won't be voting for either of the ones left.

My favs have been RC, luke, miss dynamix and tamera (like hannah but I know she's not going to make it) so last few weeks have been awful.

However the XF audience is a broad ITV1 audience, grans, older mums make a high %. Which is why Sam B, Chris Malone, Steve Brookstein all did well (Sam b fanbase is similar to Malone). No bearing on music buyers who in 2013 liked Pharell, Daft Punk, Miley, Robin Thicke, Rudimental, John Newman and Taylor Swift.

As I was watching it all I was thinking was, yea this isnt 'A night with Nicole Shirt swinger', luv. Sit the **** down. Egotistical stupid cow.

Nope, Nicole was just being nicole showing her ability. Why should she dampen her talent down? The fact is she 100% showed up Sam and Sam's short comings.

Nicole has a vastly superior vocal range and ability plus Nicole oozes sexiness, stage presence and charisma, which Sam lacks. Why bother with Sam? Sam looked like a local kareoke competition winner who got the chance to sing with Nicole. Last year Jahmain was dominated but mic gate and the fact he's a guy so he was not shown up as much and James Arthur held his won. Nicole easily wiped the floor with Sam. :joker:

I totally agree - and it completely put me off Nicole. I find her very attention-seeking despite already being so successful. She was there to support Sam, not to attempt to out-sing her - it was very uncomfortable. With 'friends' like her - who needs enemies. Shame on Nicole and x-factor. I hope it doesn't cost Sam the final.

Nicole was supposed to be supporting Sam (and Sharon) - not wiping the floor with her. She put herself first, instead of doing her job. Selfish madam.

Again, disagree Nicole was just singing. If Sam b was as good as her fans overhyped her she would have more than held her own, she failed totally and to reiterate all Nicole did was show why Sam has no career in the real world. Sam b was just so so, all the best bits came from Nicole.

but why should she? Sam just isn't as good as people make out. You put Sam next to a world class talent like Nicole and she is totally exposed. All the duets were on paper matched up eg Shane same sort of ability as Nicholas and the other XF contestants held their own. The raw fact is Sam did the worst in the duets. To be a star you actually have to have star quality, against Nicole we ALL saw Sam doesn't have it. :joker:

but what is nicole supppsed to do, put a bag over her head, a muzzle, wear a sack and not move? The simple fact is how do you know Nicole wasn't holding back to let Sam shine. The failure was 100% Sam's fault as she failed. For all we know Nicole might have tried to let Sam shine. :joker:
