Skyscraper music video.

Well, I say music video, it's more of a montage like last year's. But Shelley in the background near the end :joker:.

Pete. 20-12-2013 01:27 PM

better than james Arthur's at least

Z 20-12-2013 01:50 PM

I haven't pressed play yet. I'm expecting the following:

1) montage of X Factor clips
2) shots of Sam Bailey on a black stage surrounded by candles
3) a gospel choir

Z 20-12-2013 01:54 PM

What a swizz! Just a montage video!

Kazanne 20-12-2013 02:31 PM

Don't like this song at all, prefered Nicks, but hope Sam does well, but I'm not holding my breath.

Tom4784 20-12-2013 02:31 PM

The lack of Skyscrapers is disappointing.

Samm 20-12-2013 02:40 PM

Jemal 20-12-2013 04:11 PM

So dire.

Marc 20-12-2013 04:42 PM

Aww I'm so proud of her  well happy that she won

Mystic Mock 20-12-2013 04:45 PM

Dreadful, Nicholas had the better winners song and he sung his winners song better too.

Vanessa 20-12-2013 05:37 PM

I hate X Factor winner's videos. They're just a montage from the show. :joker:

Yeah 10 series in I would like a different video at least once.:joker:

Donovan. 20-12-2013 06:12 PM

I only really kept up with the show on youtube, but I'm so glad that she won:love: Her, Tamera, and Luke were the only ones that I liked. She might not be the most marketable, but her vocals:lovedup:

Jordan. 20-12-2013 06:57 PM

She's already fallen from #1

Vanessa 20-12-2013 07:03 PM

I read that this morning, Jordan. That's not good. Look at how much James Arthur debut single has sold. This one is under performing.

alex_front2 20-12-2013 09:07 PM

It will be no 1 come Sunday. COwell will see to that some how.

Just as I predicted a bit in video where dermot announces the winner as the loser ie Nicholas flounders in defeat

No expense was spared in the video, :joker:

It was number one. I think it's gone down now.

alex_front2 20-12-2013 09:13 PM

As bland lacking in star quality and cruise ship as i think Sam is, I do not want her first single to flop especially as it's for charity so I'll buy it then delete it.

Now see James Arthur's new video for Recovery. Opinions

I thought it was only on ITunes that Sam B fell off the number one spot? I thought that overall she's still at number one?

It's not doing very well at all.

Jords 20-12-2013 09:22 PM

Sick of montages, time to move on and record a good MV for their debut single, maybe even a new song!

alex_front2 20-12-2013 09:25 PM

The problem is the last original XF winners single was shayne ward's cringefest "thats my goal", wasn't it.

Yes! Omg! That wasn't great either! :joker:

alex_front2 20-12-2013 09:34 PM

This is why I am glad Luke didn't win. When XF finalist wins (bar James who's single wasn't too bad), the winner has to do a cheesy ballad. Never uptempo. Ballads pull at heart strings, sell to ITV1 audience, lend themselves to charity sounds, suit bland XF winners journey videos and appeal to masses and don't align do tight to a genre. Uptempo songs tend to align to a genre eg hip hop, rock , dance and therefore won't appeal to ITV1 viewers who are largely over 30+ I suspect.

Bloody hell she might flop harder than Leon Jackson.

I know. I don't want Luke to do ballads. He's rock guy!

Mystic Mock 20-12-2013 09:39 PM

Rock can have ballads to them though, but the difference is they have a bit of life and an atmosphere to them, Sam Bailey's type of Pop Music does not seem to have that at all, especially on a song like Skyscraper where an atmospheric performance is needed.

I agree, but i doubt they'd have given anything good for him to sing. Just cheese. :joker:

alex_front2 20-12-2013 09:55 PM

Sam's single won't flop. She's currently getting the Harry Styles "route one treatment" ie the PR guys are plugging loads of stories about her on Daily Mail (very popular eebsite whether we like it or not ). It's also getting a fair amount of airplay.

I think he'd have done well with When You're Gone, but oh well I guess.

His EP is very good though which is good to see.

We don't even know if that's his winners single. I need to know. I'm so curious!

It will probably be put up on Youtube soon.

After all fellow third placer Christopher Maloney has his up on there.

Just for proof.

I'm looking forward to it too, I honestly think Luke could make great Music given the right help.

And who has that star quality for you - some young thing who, when done up to the nines, does it for you. No doubt the sight of them first thing in the morning might be somewhat of a disappointment to you.

alex_front2 21-12-2013 11:02 AM

Younger sexy females are more marketable. If Sam sang Wrecking Ball it wouldn't sell as much as Miley....

Although she would sing it much better. Says it all about pop music and the audience.

Those successful in the charts tend to have short-lived careers as it is fickle and second-rate - a few lucky ones will scratch out a career, when it is all over, as presenters or such like.

I would imagine Sam isn't too bothered about pop music and the fickle charts when there are other areas of music where she is much more likely to be successfull, where careers also tend to last longer as the music is popular for the right reasons.
