Ugh it would have been brilliant - there's something cool about their first single being Sound of the Underground and their last song being On The Metro, but instead they released that drivel that absolutely nobody could relate to except for Nicola Roberts maybe. I can just picture a music video for On The Metro with lots of neon in it, not too dissimilar from the PCD video for Wait A Minute. Total cop out :(

Yes! It's different to a lot of the stuff out their and that's what GA were known for, SOTU was revolutionary and Xenomanias production on all of Tangled Up was genius. Not to mention sticking 3 seperate songs together to make Biology! On The Metro would have been a perfect end. BCYLM was drivel and was all for/about Nicola.

And yes! I pictured a video so similar to that! I did the same for Girl Overboard which should have been released as well! :idc:

Kimberley's gone down in my estimations since she passively aggressively blamed Nadine for Girls Aloud splitting up and brought up Sarah's addiction problems in her autobiography. No, I'm sure Cheryl Cole duetting with will.i.am and accepting a job on the nation's biggest entertainment show had nothing to do with Girls Aloud splitting up, Kimberley, it was absolutely Nadine's fault for living in the USA. Arse licker :idc:

She's smart and I think she's a nice person but she can't see the wood for the trees regarding her own career.

Hmm, Shrek The Musical and Centre Stage have done wonders for her career...
I think she just lives out of Cheryl's (awfully tattoed) butt.

Give it a couple of years and Kimberley and Nicola will be wishing they hadn't thrown in the towel. Nadine didn't want it to end, she learned her lesson from her failed solo career that she wasn't going to have success without Girls Aloud. Kimberley was busy when they were doing their Greatest Hits tour so she clearly thought she was going to be fine on her own. I'm sure she'll aim to become a television personality when she realises she's useless without the group. Nicola had a "critically acclaimed album"... only because there were no expectations for it! It's not like the album was a modern masterpiece, it was just good because people associated her with written-for-the-act-by-other-people pop music. Sarah's got so many problems that I don't think a hurried reunion did her any favours but I think she'll miss it eventually too; but of course it won't ever happen until HRH People's Princess Cheryl takes pity on the rest of them.

I do kinda hope that after Nadine's had her baby we get a final attempt at a solo career though.
If she had the backing that Cheryl has and her own 'Will.I.Am', she could be so successful. :idc:

It's really rare for girl groups to spawn solo artists with any degree of success. The Spice Girls are an anomaly. Beyonce & Nicole Scherzinger's groups were built around them; Mutya Buena had two successful singles and one album; Cheryl's success came from The X Factor and that's more or less it...

Hmm, it's such a shame 'cause her voice is Girls Aloud. If Nadine worked with Xenomania on an album, it would pretty much be GA and I know i'd love it. :bawling:

I went to see GA's last tour date in Liverpool at the Echo and that's the first time I had seen any of them live and honestly Cheryl and Nadine were the best vocalists, I don't even like Cheryl but she was much better than people had warned me about.

Kimberly was horrific, she screeched and sounded really bad compared to Nadine and Cheryl. Then I saw her attempt to sing Defying Gravity on telly and she really is nothing special as a vocalist, she was lucky to have got this far and THEN I read her biography and wow, she's just not that nice of a person it seems.
