I've read somewhere that the parents were in a custody battle, not sure how true that is but the article does say he lived with his mother and doesn't mention the father. Could be the father took him, hopefully he did and he's safe

Kizzy 16-01-2014 11:00 AM

His twin must be distraught :(
I hope he is found safe and sound soon.

Josy 16-01-2014 11:02 AM

They have the helicopter out now.

Hope he's found safe and well.

Vanessa 16-01-2014 11:03 AM

Kazanne 16-01-2014 11:06 AM

I really hope this little fella is found safe and well

Kate! 16-01-2014 11:07 AM

Instincts say the father's taken him, but to take one twin and not both is odd?

Maybe this ones room was easier to access or maybe he just wanted the boy, I think the other twin was a girl, i don't know, just speculating maybe the father didn't even take him

Jezzy 16-01-2014 12:59 PM

Either it was someone with a key (most likely the father) or the boy has wandered off. I hope to God it's the former.

Don't even tempt the comparisons :P

I wonder if he has woke early and wanted to see his dad and set off thinking he can get to his house? I hope its something completely innocent - anything else doesn't bear thinking about

I am thinking along similar lines, Annie

arista 16-01-2014 03:09 PM

The police have Confirmed he has
his coat with him?

But is he in the water - thats the main fear?

Z 16-01-2014 06:39 PM

Heard about this earlier today, hope they manage to find him :(!

BigSister 16-01-2014 07:04 PM

My first instinct was the father too as theres no sign of a break in but would a 3 year old take their coat and shoes. my friend has a 2 year old and he cant dress himself.
I just hope that this has a happy ending

user104658 16-01-2014 08:02 PM

I'd say it's fairly likely that his dad - or another family member on his dad's side - has him.

Natalie. 16-01-2014 08:06 PM

Hope they find him soon :(

sadly not

GypsyGoth 16-01-2014 09:40 PM

It seems odd that the boy would dress himself and leave the house by himself really early, I mean he's only 3 years old.

It does, especially going as far as a coat and shoes. And it also seems unlikely that an abductor would bother with a coat and shoes if they meant him any harm.

Very good point.

Kazanne 16-01-2014 09:56 PM

Praying for this kid

Josy 16-01-2014 10:37 PM

Really hope he's ok that's a long time now without anyone coming forward to say they had spotted him or that.

Really hope they find him, it was on the screens in the subway station this morning, can only hope it was his dad taking him away because he missed him and not something more sinister

Yeah very true, I really hope his father has him

Nedusa 17-01-2014 09:15 AM

This story does not ring true.......we are supposed to believe a 3 year old can get up in the middle of the night dress himself then open all the doors needed to be opened and then slip out quietly into the cold night.

Why....to go where ?? very very unlikely if not impossible I mean how would he even open the door I mean he's only 3 years old 2 foot tall probably unable to reach the locks let alone have the strength to turn the locks and push all the doors open.

And where would he go....would walk a mile in that cold and then drown in the sea ??

Again very unlikely.

I think there are probably simpler more plausible explanations for his disapperance. more likely a relative on his fathers side has helped him leave the property for whatever reason.I think he must have had adult help to leave the property.

Either way I hope the police find some evidence that suggests he has been helped by an adult and that it is connected with his estranged father and his relatives.

Lets hope this isn't another Maddie McCann in the making......!!!!

Its been a long time for a 3 year old to be out alone?

The mother has said he can open the Door.

lostalex 17-01-2014 11:13 AM

Shirley Manson from Garbage tweeted about this earlier. Scotland is on the look out!

Britain is a small island, so he can't have gone far...

It's not THAT small for a 3 year old to go missing.

Kizzy 17-01-2014 12:05 PM

No word from the dad yet?

AnnieK 17-01-2014 12:23 PM

That's a good point actually - I haven't heard his father really mentioned other than the news reports saying the mother and father are estranged. I hope he is with him but surely he would be the first port of call for officers and they would have mentioned the father had been questioned :conf: Have I missed something? I know it will be awful if its a father abduction as he's been taken from his mother but there are so many volunteers out searching that the Police must have some really serious concerns.... So so hope he is found safe

Maybe the fact that they haven't mentioned him means that they can't find him but don't want to scare off even further by saying they're looking for him?

Yeah good point...I would be a rubbish investigator, I'd be blabbing every two minutes!
