It's only when it's Jim that she gets her knickers in a twist. She's just looking for reasons to pick at him all the time. Gawdsakes get her nommed and out.

She is so bitter towards him...it's actually very sad

She takes everything he says as a personal criticism when he's not even saying anything to her. It's just sad to watch.

Can you imagine what you would think though if she didn't drink the brandy but drunk a load of wine but then tried to make out how innocent and thoughtful she was by not drinking alcohol.. That would be worse.. This is the first time she genuinely ad a point to be pissed at Jim..

Agree with this. She's trying to think 3 or 4 steps ahead to work out what Jim is actually trying to say rather than just taking it on face value. Regardless of what people think of Jim or his past or the feud her behaviour is completely irrational.

She was genuinely pissed, that's for sure. Alcohol and a feud don't mix well.

Housemates asked if they had alcohol

He said we had brandy but I didn't have any

Despite drinking a load of wine

He just wanted to play the hero, making the other 4 look bad in comparison when really hes just as bad.

He said "we didn't drink them", not "I didn't drink it"

We had brandy, but I didn't have any - meaning he didn't have any brandy... I mean come on, that's reaching a bit, the guy then came back out with more alcohol and dumped it outside and spilled it (total dick move :laugh:), he obviously meant he didn't have any brandy.

He just tried to make out that he was better than the other housemates because he was uber loyal and thoughtful to give Dappy half a boner.

I would have called him out on it too because I think he attempted to make himself look better than the rest when really hes just a guy who dislikes brandy and wants to get brownie points out of it

Can we just clarify that Jim never said that he personally didn't drink it lol, if anything he was protecting Linda by saying that none of them had drank it

Linda openly volunteered the information that she'd had some of the brandy and then when Dappy said "thanks Jim" she turned on him and then suddenly that was Jim's fault. It's not normal behaviour, MrWong, I fail to see how anyone can blame Jim for what Linda did there.

How was he protecting her? lol

If she kept schtum and went along with what he said she'd look like a liar because she drank hers.

I agree. Jim is probably still my 2nd favourite HM in there but I thought it was blatantly obvious what he was trying to achieve with his comment and its put me off him a lot.

Some people clearly hear differently from what's actually being said.

No we wouldn't. Let's replay the scenario:

Jim: "They even sent us in a cherry brandy liqueur thing and we didn't drink them."

Linda: doesn't say anything

Dappy: "Thanks Jim."

Conversation moves on.

Jim knows what's he is doing, he acts up just a bit and guess what linda and luisa bite back big time on cue.

The whole reason her diatribe started is because Dappy said "thanks Jim". She didn't start having a go at Jim immediately, and absolutely nobody said anything to Linda about her drinking the brandy. She just decided to take Dappy saying thank you as Jim somehow making a dig at her to make her look stupid - Jim didn't say a word to her, she invented that entire scenario.

Nobody would have a go at her. If they did, they would be looking bad not her.

I think you'll find quite a few people on here who are definitely not Jim fans who think Linda is a bitter old harpie.

..you know what the irony of that was, that the comment from Dappy incensed her so much but for the last few weeks, she has been highlighting everything that Jim has done and putting a negative slant on it to the other housemates and trying to make him look bad...I do think that some of the stuff he has done/said has been negative and made him look bad but he has done stuff right as well...

I think Jim and Linda's feud has shown me precisely how not to be when I reach their age :laugh: I'd want someone to come slap me out of it if I was that grumpy and/or bitter all the time.
