Ok I think Im a bit of a sugar addict, I constantly eat junk including chocolate and sweets. I actually have something called chrones disease which affects the bowel so too much fibre is no good for me.
I don't like salads and I don't like most veg, I also don't like yogurts and gravy.
I do like lot of fruits but not all. Every week after .
Ive ate crap all weekend and given myself a bad stomach I say Im going to try and eat healthy but I never know quite what to have not liking salads/ veg/yogurts/gravy

The veg I do like or can tolerate, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and parsnips
salad stuff I could tolerate, peppers and onions @ a push
Fruits I like most fruits except I don't like pomegranetes, grapefruit, watermelons.

Meats I like chicken, pork and @ a push turkey.
I also like eggs, pasta, bread but not rice.

My question to everyone is...how can I eat healthy? Anyone got any suggestions please? As many meals/snacks as you can please.

Breakfasts/Snacks

Tuna + melba toasts
Oatcakes with some butter/cheese spread/jam
Boiled Egg on wholemeal bread/toast
Fruit cocktail
Scrambled Eggs

Dinners/Meals

Chicken with potatoes, carrots & broccoli
Pork stir fry - made with pork, onions, peppers, grated carrots etc
Chicken omelette - made with eggs, some diced up chicken, onions, peppers.
Tuna/Chicken Pasta

Try to have fruit each day. I myself have an apple at dinner (lunch) and then banana and kiwi at tea.

As for meals:

Egg and fish.
Egg and chicken.
Omelette with carrots.
Scrambled eggs.
Fish and pasta.
Pasta with carrots, sweetcorn and chicken.

You'd probably be best experimenting.

I've seen lot's say to have one junk day a week. Perhaps at the end of each week. So you don't have to eat 'clean' every day.

Do you like homemade soup Mizzy?

Homemade lentil soup is so easy to make and pretty healthy.

(not sure if you can eat lentils though?)

I do sometimes have egg, chicken and pasta mixed with low fat mayo which is very tasty. Thanks Josy theres a couple of things on there I can have. I also have salmon with boiled potatoes and carrots, that's one of my healthier meals lol

Why do you have to? :laugh:

You could just have 1 slice of wholemeal bread then if you need to.

I would say you could make homemade soup a lot thicker though so wouldn't really need bread to fill you up.

ok and fish with what and cooked how?
egg and chicken, again with what and cooked how?
fish and pasta im guessing maybe tuna and pasta?
Don't like sweetcorn.
That's not a bad idea to have one piece of fruit @ lunchtime and one in the evening. when I try to eat fruit I tend to go overboard so il give this a try. Buy just a couple of bits of fruit etc.

wholemeal bread not so good for me too much fibre (chrones disease)
I dunno why but I always feel the need to have bread with soup lol

Poached Salmon fillets or griddled Tuna steak with a peppercorn and lemon drizzle? Served with steamed broccoli, baby potatoes and lightly buttered carrots.

Yes salmon and tuna, never had a tuna steak, just thinking I could make my own tuna fishcakes.
I also like burgers/bacon/sausage but none of them are healthy lol

I have made my own sweet and sour chicken before too and that's quite nice, was just looking for some more ideas. maybe I could make my own shepards pie etc

Smoothies are great too. Low fat frozen sweet yoghurt/ice cream, bananas, strawberries, oranges, most fruits etc.

You could get low fat sausage from the butcher.

Cut the fat off bacon and grill it and have it with some scrambled eggs for a breakfast or lunch.

I would say a burger grilled (no bun) with some veg would be alright for a dinner.

Tuna pasta with a roasted veg or tomato based sauce
try bulgar wheat and quinoa too instead of rice or pasta, blitzed veggies as a soup poured on a nice piece of chicken or pork instead of gravy with spuds
frittata veg or meat
salmon fish pie.....

I'm trying to stop using packets, jars and tins and stick to making my own stuff it's trial and error but once you have a few faves established its easier.
Like a basic tomato/ veg based sauce or a creamy one for pasta chicken or fish.
then just add herbs and spices to make it English, Indian or Italian or whatever :)

well I never yet got round to healthy eating, but since im exercising now pretty much daily im starting on my healthy eating plan tommoro. ive got chicken, salmon, eggs, apples, carrots, peppers, etc etc in stock now. Tonight im going to work out what im going to be eating for the next 4 days. sat im @ the dogs all day so will be difficult, so maybe sat and sun il just eat wotever, then mon to fri healthy eating. Making the most of today with chocolate, ice cream, saus and chips, bread & fizzy pop lol

Tinned tomatoes work better if i'm making a sauce for pasta. That's about the only thing i can make. :laugh:

Actually I forgot about those and baked beans :laugh: the only tins in my cupboard, where would I be without tinned toms?.....

Onion
turkey breast (diced)
fat free creme fraiche
tin of tomatoes
coriander
frozen veg.. whatever you like, peas/sweetcorn/green beans/carrot
2 big spoons pataks tikka masala paste.

Have it with rice, bulgar wheat or in a wrap :)

I can't :( too much of a wus, too hot for me. I could just use tikka spice but the oil in the paste is enough to fry the onion and turkey off with a drop of water. You can get 3-4 curries from 1 jar.
