Molly will represent the UK in Eurovision 2014
..oh really nice voice, Lucas....
She sounds like a white gabrielle
Great voice & she's young and female that gets us a few extra points right away
Don't know who she is but her voice is brilliant so pleased who we got
I'm so glad we haven't got an old fart form the 60s |
She's got an absolutely beautiful voice. Hopefully this will get us a decent amount of points this year or even win it. I just worry that it's a little too simplistic for all the other countries.
It's a flawless song anyways. EDIT: I just realised that's not the actual song. Ignore me. It would be wonderful if it was tho. |
What a ridiculous name
Who the hell is she
I don't care that i don't know who she is, she has a fantastic voice, she's fresh and new and thats exactly what i wanted in our entry. I can't wait to hear the actual entry, Never Forget is too long to be thee entry. Seriously flawless voice, why doesn't this girl have a contract :joker:
[edit] - my bad i think she does! btw how do you spell her name cause i'm seeing Mollie and Molly? lol  |
If its an good song then im all for it. Being someone no one knows is good because theres less pressure on her and its good someone young and upcoming is doing it
If its an half decent song might be a good year for once |
Difficult to see what her norks look like from that video which is a pain
Her voice is amazing
Let's hope this is our year. Stranger things have happened.

What happened to Geri? |
Ruth Lorenzo ftw :idc:
Why the hell would we want Geri ****ing halliwell ?
I think she's a very inspired choice and I'm so pleased that they've gone young female artist, it's the in thing for Eurovision right now, they clearly want to host the 60th. I just hope that it isn't a one off yearly thing and Katie ****ing Taylor has disappeared forever and this is our turning point.
Oh and the whole 'unknown' thing is a non issue. Emellie sold 100 copies of her album before she did Eurovision last year and won. |
Oh and there is still 20ish songs (I believe, might be a few less) to be revealed but right now only Romania and Hungary are top bets, this could be another top 5 placing if the song is good and she has a great performance slot.
And it's definitely 'Molly' Loukas
She has a very strong voice, which also fits Eurovision very well imo.
Well, I wish her the best of luck. I hope she has an amazing experience. |

We have the same problem with our name.. it can be spelt Lucas, Lukas, Loukas, Lukaz ect lol |

It's Probably not but imagine if this actually wasn't the artist and it was just for promo
I really like her
who :umm2:
  This woman is actually giving me hope in getting a decent place this year! I think it's a good thing that nobody knows her, fresh talent is good. I agree with Reece, Geri does fit the calibre for Eurovision but theres hundreds of old artists that do. I'd rather see someone with an amazing voice that i've never seen or heard before compete for the UK and have an amazing experience doing so, rather than someone who has had a massive music career already. Cause lets face it the acts we have seen the last 3 years haven't done us any good! |
eh, she has more of a chance than the "legends" we've been sending. Nobody knew who Jade Ewen was and she finished fifth. We've always had the chance to do well but we just need someone young and pretty, and with a good (if dull and ballady) song.

Yeah I agree, we need to focus more on the promotional side of it (in Europe, that is, to be honest I think we're barely aware of our own entry let alone everyone else)
There's no point promoting it in the UK because we're not the ones who decide whether or not the song gets points. The reason neighbouring countries tend to vote for each other is that by proxy they're more aware of each other's popular singers, e.g. Jedward were popular in the UK. People will vote for songs if they like them. The UK never puts forward anything remotely interesting anymore.
Like what was the logic in sending a young guy to Eurovision with a song penned by Pete Waterman? Do you know what happened the last time Pete Waterman thought he knew what he was doing with a pop act? One True Voice happened. I'm fairly certain that whoever's in charge of selecting UK Eurovision acts intentionally selects songs that haven't a hope in hell of winning. It's bordering on ridiculous. I won't hold my breath that this girl will have a hope in hell of making the top half unless the song is on trend and catchy.
Yeah, they need to promote her like hell across Europe is she's going to win it for us this year. They did it with Jade Ewen and look how high she finished. This girl is 10x better than Jade, so with the right promotion and song, she could win it.
I'm scared the song will be too simple/slow to win the eurovision contest which is generally pop and cheesy songs. |
Winning Eurovision comes down to the following factors:
How good is the song? How well known is the song? How good is the performer? How good is the performance? If it's a contemporary song that fits in with current trends, promoted around Europe prior to the event, is performed by someone who can sing well and can put on a spectacle, it'll do well. There is no default "Europe loves this kind of song", that's nonsense spouted by people who don't understand why the UK's always near the bottom. Europe loved Lordi, it loved Verka Serduchka, it loved Alexander Rybak, it loved Dima Bilan, it loved Lena... none of those performances are remotely similar, what they have in common is that they stood out from all the others. |
tbh, I love it, I love her.
It was just streamed on Eurovision.tv so that will raise awareness for other countries viewing, I also think that parading it all around Europe doesn't work, it hasn't for the past couple of years with other countries, I am sure Cascada went all out and flopped last year. Sing it well in rehearsals gurl, get the jury votes on side, I think some countries will take to her. |
We don't need a ballad http://exhalecdn.breatheheavy.com/pu...efault/yuh.gif
Isn't Eurovision meant to be cheesy? |
This year it'll probably be UK vs Romania vs Hungary
Such good songs |

Terry Wogan liked to think it was a joke and that it should never be taken seriously and that it's all political bull. So no it's not all 'cheesy'.. countries make a serious effort in it all and it's nice that the Beeb have made an effort, but complaining is so the UK so it's obviously getting hate all over social media.
