If you thought Nicola McLean's 'shred shred shred' moment was good...

...then take a look at this copy they did in Canada which worked out incredibly. Their reactions are AMAZING

Came across this again earlier so decided to post it (and am only posting it in here so it's seen by more people obv)

Ten minutes of Big Brother gold :worship: :joker:

Samm 22-04-2014 06:56 PM

Queen Ika <3

Stopped watching when she left

Benjamin 22-04-2014 07:11 PM

:worship:

iRyan 23-04-2014 12:34 AM

Havent watched this season but Ika seems like a true goddess

Black Dagger 23-04-2014 12:42 AM

I wish I watched this now. What a goddess.

In 5 minutes I despise Kenny and Andrew, I would have hated to see them every episode, bellends. Pls say they have also gone now?

Benjamin 23-04-2014 12:42 AM

They have :dazzler:

Ramsay 23-04-2014 12:43 AM

jeeez louuuuise that beard

Black Dagger 23-04-2014 12:46 AM

Oh thank god. Genuinely think they'd have been up there with my least favourite house-guests, heard a bit about Kenny anyway, with his closet-case gameplaying.

Ramsay 23-04-2014 12:50 AM

Them HMs need to understand that

Withano 23-04-2014 05:58 AM

Whos favourite to win? They all seem like dicks

Lostie! 23-04-2014 03:19 PM

I didn't always like Ika, but I totally respected her choice here. She didn't owe most of them anything. Kenny and Andrew losing their **** over it was ridiculous.

"Oh, she's selfish". Um, she chose money to support her kid. It's selfish to expect her give up the chance to take some money home just so you can have a letter. That said, she could have been more tactful, she was a little disrespectful to even those who wrote the letters with how she just flung them around, but I respect the decision itself.

Well it's hard to say since the public don't vote, I'd say the girl sat on the sofa at 5:11 has the best chance though

Shaun 24-04-2014 10:50 PM

LOL idk how anyone would be so stupid as to make any other decision than she did. I've never seen the fuss over 'letters from home', it's been like what? A month or two? Calm down.

The public doesn't vote? That sounds terrible! Do you prefer this format?

Black Dagger 25-04-2014 09:35 AM

The US & Canada format > our clueless public.

Crimson Dynamo 25-04-2014 09:47 AM

what a selfish money grabbing bitch

bleugh

Tregard 25-04-2014 12:33 PM

Would've done the same.

She didn't owe them anything, they were going to evict her less than 48 hours later anyway.

I haven't really watched much of this season at all, but I think it was quite evident she was going, hence why she decided to get 5K out of it and give the people she knew didn't like her a bit of happiness.

Yeah she did

Crimson Dynamo 25-04-2014 02:49 PM

then she is still a money grabbing be-atch

she would have gone for the green even if she was staying

horrid woman

Shaun 25-04-2014 02:51 PM

I literally see nothing wrong with choosing money over some sentimental nonsense for people who hate you, from people they're going to see in a couple of weeks.

arista 25-04-2014 02:58 PM

Yes we need that stunt in the UK Edition

they all hated her, why would you give people that didn't like you a letter from home? i would've taken the 5k too. and in her defence, she didn't know they were watching her.

Jay. 25-04-2014 03:06 PM

hahahahahah that is the best thing I have ever seen.... I don't watch it, but in her position, I would have done the same >;}

Easily. It's far, far better than our format and it's time we adopted it (at least for a one series trial) in the UK

Each week there's a competition for one person to become Head of Household, that person nominates two people, there's a Power of Veto comp where the nominees, HoH and three people randomly selected compete for the power to be able to save a nominee (in which case the HoH names a replacement), and then on eviction night every person apart from the nominees and HoH votes one of the two out, whoever has the most votes leaves.

When there's just two people left the last seven people evicted return to form the jury and each one casts a vote for one of the finalists

It's far more interesting, unpredictable and fair since if you get evicted it's through bad gameplay rather than because you're not a young attractive male or because you had an argument with a young attractive male

I don't think I'd be interested in that. It would frustrate me if somebody who was unanimously hated outside the house won the show

BBDodge 26-04-2014 09:52 AM

I'd have taken about a second to decide to shred the letters.

Pronshi 26-04-2014 10:01 PM

Nicola was not funny.
Ika was a great housemate and was hilarious.
Her and Adel.

Gstar 26-04-2014 10:23 PM

How come no one has informed me about this housemate? she's flawlessly fierce

I can't believe you've never seen the flawless Ika Wong  She's like one of my all time favourites of ANY BB show.

Omg Ika for Celebrity Big brother <333333

or maybe cillivan big brother but idk

jyunga 27-04-2014 08:40 AM

I would hate to see BBUK switch to the US format as it is really missing out on the interesting interactions between housemates. Strategic is so forced in the editing of the US version and you really don't get to see who the housemates really are. I'd much rather see genuine people (or people trying to play up for the public) and the shopping tasks, etc. It's a refreshing break from the US version.

BBAU+BBUK = charming, interesting housemates
BBUS = strategic
BBCAN = strat+charm

I like them all as they are!

No way. The BBCAN house had this weird trend this year where each week the person that got evicted pretty much knew ahead of time. Adel (the guy talking to Ika at the end) was the only person willing to hang out and talk with the eventual evictee before they left the house. Everyone else in the house would ignore the person going home like the plague. Once the tables flipped on Ika they gave her that treatment as well and she realized how it had been going on the whole time to everyone else that had left. Good for her to call them all out on their BS and shred their letters.

But wouldn't you rather have someone win the show who you know worked hard to justify it? As a viewer of the American and Canadian versions of the show (as well as Survivor) I find it so refreshing to have a format of reality television where sucess is determined based on hard work, intelligence and strategy rather then the status of reality TV in this country where it is basically a glorified sympathy contest and the person who wins is the person who most satifies middle England rather then those that deserve it. Yes you can get unlikable winners (Andy and Maggie) but you forgive them for it because you know that they earned it.

I would much rather have more of these:

Then more of these:

I love this, I'm going to start watching bb canada, looks so good.

Gstar 27-04-2014 09:52 PM
