The 23-yer-old is famous for her role as Kelly Bailey in the E4 series, even winning a BAFTA in 2011.

In May of 2012 however she was sentenced to four years in prison, suspended for 12 months, after being convicted for a racially aggravated assault against a Derby taxi driver. Later that month she then left Misfits, although show bosses insisted this had nothing to do with her conviction.

Perhaps keen to improve her image, Lauren is now been linked to CBB which will air in August on Channel 5.

Writing on Twitter last year, she told her fans: “I would love to go on big brother hahaha!!!”

But when one follower made light of the fact that the show was meant for celebrities, Lauren hit back: “nooo.. Do you watch big brother? ******ing d**k unfollow me.”

Other names linked to the new Celebrity Big Brother 2014 lineup already this year include Corrie actress Helen Flanagan, headline hitting rent boy Adam Brookes, daughter of the late comic Les Dawson, Charlotte Dawson and Benefit Streets ‘star’ White Dee.

The show will air in the late summer on Channel 5, straight after the upcoming civilian series which begins in June.

I loved her in Misfits! Ironic that she went to prison in real life with playing a character who's doing community work for committing a crime..

Quite a shame really, I also know of her brother who was in Once Upon A Time in Wonderland - loved that show!
