Just over 10 weeks is that? :amazed:

In a word of Marcus, FAB!

Raph 01-06-2014 03:47 PM

Oh shame :( I miss the 13 week seasons. It must be because they're doing the awful summer celebrity one again. Well, won't be watching that one, never have, never will.

jackc1806 01-06-2014 03:48 PM

72 days, amazing..

Better than last years 68

Rob! 01-06-2014 03:48 PM

72 days isn't bad.

Samm 01-06-2014 03:48 PM

It's the same length as BB6 was, It's the longest we have had since C5 BB I just hope it doesn't drag

Daniel. 01-06-2014 03:50 PM

Yaas, that means the final will be on a friday :amazed:

no.

it just means they're compromising the series for more CBB which is definitely not a good thing. plus less chance of new housemates, a proper elaborate original twist, etc. 10 weeks restricts things way too much

jackc1806 01-06-2014 03:51 PM

13th August Final

Firewire 01-06-2014 03:53 PM

Does the 72 include the Friday eviction shows?

There's more chance of new housemates now that BB15 is about a week longer than last year

Jarrod 01-06-2014 03:54 PM

Are we sure the 72 isn't just how many episodes there's going to be?

BB5 and BB6 were that long and even they dragged in the last week. 13 weeks is too much, BB7, BB8 and BB9 all had dull last months..

The only 13 weeks series to have a good last month was BB10.

I don't really want an elaborate twist. If there's a twist to the format itself from the start then you don't need anything elaborate later on. House Next Door was a bit of a flop in BB7 and the return of the ex housemates was unneeded. BB7 was fantastic but the last 2-3 weeks were a drag.

10/11 weeks if perfect.

Yes, they've cut it down from 13 weeks to make way for yet more CBB (boring), but that is the one positive thing about it.

It isn't restricted, the whole show naturally quietens down around the 10th week, we don't need it carrying on for several more weeks afterwards.

New housemates is still possible, they just need to happen around 2-3 weeks in, which is perfect. Any later and they're pointless additions anyway.

Will. 01-06-2014 03:54 PM

It ends the same day as BB 14 did.

Starts way earlier though

That's fine. 90 days was way too much

Jarrod 01-06-2014 04:00 PM

I actually prefer 10 week series to 13 week...

Glenn. 01-06-2014 04:00 PM

Um can you not please. Stick to the topic

Matt 01-06-2014 04:00 PM

Just to clarify according to Channel 5's schedule breakdown for the first eviction the two separate shows count as episodes 9 and 10 - so the number of episodes doesn't indicate the number of days.

These details are probably subject to change anyway - after all, they tacked another five days on to the end of January's CBB...

Jarrod 01-06-2014 04:01 PM

And if this series is 72 days, it's longer than BB12,13 and 14 so it'll be Channel 5's longest series to date.

Loukas 01-06-2014 04:01 PM

I'm happy tbh, it's the same length as BB6 and that was long enough IMO :D

Firewire 01-06-2014 04:01 PM

On Radio Times it's the episode number, on Friday there are two episodes. By this logic it seems it'll end 5 August with CBB starting on the 7th. Although, they might make Friday evictions 90 minutes after Stand By Your Man finishes. 5 August seems to short a series so it'll probably be the week later on the 12th.

Marsh. 01-06-2014 04:03 PM

5th June - 5th August.

Ok if that's the case then that is way too short.

Gstar 01-06-2014 04:06 PM

It's more days than BB14 so I'm not gonna complain (personally I would like it to be more). I just hope they don't have like 8 housemates a few days before the final and do all them rushed evictions like they sometimes do.

but  @ people saying that 13 weeks is too long, BB in other countries lasts like 200-300 days, I swear one country did it for a whole year? And that's with 100% NO outside contact as oppose to what we have here

Yes, and that's overkill. No way would I be a BB fan if our country did that.

Plus, I think it was Germany who did it for a year and they lived in a village.

Me. I Am Salman 01-06-2014 04:10 PM

Germyle knows.

Jack_ 01-06-2014 04:15 PM

I miss 13 week series tbh, maybe it's just me but I never got bored of them towards the end? And I'm still pissed they never reached a 100 days, coming so close yet so far in four series

And will they please ditch the summer CBB for **** sake

Then again if it does well they could always extend it like they did with CBB13, but I doubt they'd extend a civilian series...

Marsh. 01-06-2014 04:16 PM

Yeah, if they have the launch for CBB locked in then it doesn't give them much room to extend the civilian one.

Samm 01-06-2014 04:18 PM

I'm hoping that with the new owners of C5 they will axe the Summer CBB, they could easily make the CBB in Januray longer

Jack_ 01-06-2014 04:22 PM

I actually miss the four week celebrity series that C4 did in the latter years, CBB only really gets going near to the end of the third week and then it comes to an end so if they'd ditch the pointless summer series, bring civilian back to 13 weeks and then have a four or even five week (not sure if the celebs would agree to that though) CBB in January it'd be perfect

reece(: 01-06-2014 04:23 PM

Hopefully it keeps going up.. and we get 80 days eventually.

Firewire 01-06-2014 04:24 PM

Is it just me or does it bug anyone else when a finale isn't on a Friday? I hate that with Channel 5 Big Brothers. The finale should be on a finale! It isn't right!
