Spain as a former champion will be the one to beat. Netherlands as the former runner up will be the next one to beat. Spain has a total package to go far on this tournament, so expect them to finish first in this group. Netherlands has a killer all around offence, so they will tear through Australia, tie with Chile and lose to Spain in an fairly even game. Chile will be the solid and an upset ready team, battling with Spain and Chile for a place in the quarters and bombing Aussies to the air. Australia will be the group points wending machine with three clear losses to Spain, Netherlands and Chile.

Bump for the big day tomorrow.
Australia to pull off a miracle and win the group
Chile-Australia more interesting in a way, Spain seeing off the Dutch is a foregone conclusion
I don't think Australia will stand a chance, got a feeling it'll be one of the heaviest defeats of the tournament.

Viduka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Aloisi!!!!!!!!!!

i so want spain to fall apart :worry: most boring team in recent memory (except stoke)
Spain vs Netherlands should be a good one tonight. I bet the Dutch want retribution to their loss on WC 2010 and want to 'upset' the Spanish side with a loss. If Spain loses, they would have a must win situation/a desperation match against Chile, since Chile will mop the floor with Australia tonight. If they lose and Chile win, they will have a problem in their hands. That being said, the same goes for Netherlands.
I hope the Netherlands win. |
Dutch squad is incredibly average/too young bar 2 or 3 players. I got a feeling Chile are topping this group tbh. If Van Gaal gets Holland through then fair play to him.
Spain: Casillas; Azpilicueta, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Alonso; Xavi, Iniesta, Silva; Costa.
Ned: Cillessen; Janmaat, Vlaar, de Vrij, Martins Indi, Blind; de Jong, de Guzmán, Sneijder; Robben, van Persie. |
Back from work. Ice cold shower and then watch us get that Spanish D.
bring on the BBC opening credits!
That Spain team is unreal
I am more excited about seeing Thierry than the game.
I'll never forget that Robben 1v1..
loved the opening
what a backdrop |
BBC punditry is just so much better.

Busquets the twat :joker:
Spain are a great team to watch. Can't see this game being as close as most people think.
Hasn't really dawned on me until now that this is the start of the end of the Xavi and Inestia era
The Dutch kit :worship:
Didn't realize Kuyt had made the squad, hopefully gets some game time
That Spanish bench...
Hopefully we see Memphis Depay at some stage.
Only watching it for Holland, would never waste 90 minutes of my life seeing dull Spain play.
Vlaar has got Costa in his back pocket so far
Spanish is controlling the game, not giving Netherlands many opportunities.
Ref is a closet Spain fan.
Penalty for Spain!!! Well that´s 1-0 then.
Stone penalty
Alansoooooooooo
Vlaar wouldn't have let that happen |
And now we will see a lot of defending from Spain.
Spanish twats.
