To all the people who said it doesn't make a difference, do you believe me now?

This series could end up one of the worst ever, At this rate I can't even see a male getting evicted until after the halfway point, and it's going to get really boring with all the big characters leaving.

How come you never whinged about it before your favourite is about to get the boot?

Nothing wrong with VTE when there's a house full of good housemates! The problem in my opinion this year is probably a good three-quarters of the housemates should never have been selected. They select people for totally the wrong reasons these days. Helen because she was a 'sell a story prostitute', Winston because he's an Essex lad, Danielle because she's made herself out to be something that she isn't, Ash purely for his looks and probably the same with Ashleigh.........and so on!!!
They need to go back to the days when they chose people because they were interesting characters who had the potential to entertain us for the whole summer!!!

This "all the big characters get evicted too early" bollocks comes up every year and it's just a non-starter as far as i'm concerned!!! People evict who they want to evict, usually because they can't bear to watch them anymore and it's as simple as that. You can be very entertaining without being an annoying twat and you can even have annoying housemates who are still watchable but when they're JUST annoying people will vote them out and deservedly so!

^I agree with you on the first bit. The reason BB6/BB7 were so good is that the housemates chosen were so perfect that it didn't matter who got evicted as it would always be entertaining. All the C5 series have had duds, but BB13 proved to me how much of a difference VTS makes to a series.

Toya would get by far the most votes to save. So annoying that the most entertaining one is going to leave and there is next to nothing we can do about it.

I definitely won't be as loyal to this series after Friday.

Agreed. I'll still watch just to see twats like Steven and Ash and Marlon get evicted, but I don' think I can take watching the finale where Winston will obvious win *bleugh*

But you can make the argument against VTS with BB12. If you don't have a scrappy lovable underdog VTS kinda sucks? At least with VTE we can get rid of people more easily when they become unbearable (ie if Toya continued to act how she was acting last week)

Okay I get that you're passionate about Toya and would take a bullet for her but you need to stop lying to yourself if you really think Toya would get far more votes to save than Chris and Jale and Christopher.

The only benefit to VTE is money. I can't see what else.

Or, like I said, get rid of people when they've truly become insufferable.

If the series didn't have a Power housemate twist then it would die but every week there's a big drama over the power housemate and I think that will continue

Even if not all of the Jale and Chris fans vote, they still outnumber the Toya fans by extreme amounts. You're part of the vocal minority as a Toya fan tbh.

I love VTE. It gives me an opportunity to get Toya out of the house. VTE should be celebrated not criticized. (sarcasm) On a serious note I think that people hate VTE when it works against their favorite HM. Trust me when I tell you that while Helen is one of the biggest HMs everybody wouldn't be thinking about how much entertainment she offers. We are gonna evict her because she's nasty just like Toya. I just think some Toya fans are upset that it's gonna work against her.

who is ''they'', i always support vote to save, because its simple dear, people vote for who they want to watch, the housemate with the least votes goes, thus there being no 'split' votes and any of that nonsense.

HATED characters STILL go on a vote to save as has been proven time and time again, Pauline would have STILL gone last week no matter what the voting system, which is why i dont understand why people like vote to evict.

Your deluded if you think Toya would get the most votes in a vote to save. She might stay over Ash or Marlon but she has no chance of getting more votes than the other 5.

I like the idea of a "tug of war" system with votes to save and votes to evict, with the person with the net lowest score going. e.g. Toya gets 19000 votes to evict but 20000 votes to stay for a net of 1000, Marlon gets 3000 votes to stay but 4000 to evict for a net of -1000, so Marlon goes even though Toya got far more votes to evict.

I think it would work well AND make them money. A "big" housemate that divides opinion would get lots of VTE but also lots of VTS to counter it - if their fan base is stronger than their "anti-fan" base, then they have a good chance. If not, then they'll fall massively into the negative. Likewise, a "boring" housemate who fades into the background, might get a far smaller number of votes to evict, but if they don't have many fans to counter those votes with votes to save, then they're likely to have more of a "net negative" and be the one to go.

Unfortunately, I think that sort of voting system is probably too complex for the GBP to understand or get on board with, so they'll never do it.

VTE is MUCH better!

People are just pissed cos their favourite is the most hated & will get the chop, if it was someone they hated up for eviction they would think it was brilliant... :sleep:
