Nomination twist

This week’s Big Brother 2014 nominations are set to see a twist, we can confirm.

BB announced the Big Brother 2014 nomination results yesterday evening, revealing that that joining Jale Karaturp (as the killer nomination) were Christopher Hall, Chirs R Wright, Ashleigh Coyle and Marlon Wallen.

But they are not the final results.

As part of this week’s shopping task, housemates will get the chance to save themselves from nomination.

Earlier, the Big Brother House was drained of all power and the remaining power from a backup generator is shown on a giant battery.

In order to pass the task, housemates must keep the battery charged.

BB will tempt them with prizes that drain the batter, including messages from family, and and also safety from nomination this week, Channel 5 has confirmed to us.

It means that one or more of the five could be saved from eviction.

Exactly how it will works is not quite clear as we can’t imagine all five being given the chance to save themselves.

And it’s also not yet apparent if Power nomination victim Jale will be able to avoid eviction.

In a second twist to the task, housemates can win more energy for the battery if they sacrifice possessions, with Mark potentially losing the £5,000 he won on launch night.

The task will air over the next two days’ highlights shows on Channel 5.

Marlon betta not be saved.

Oh FFS .

Marlon will be saved, he seems like the one who would most desperately clamber to get saved. Bugger.

Cold Sweat 07-07-2014 12:33 PM

This could be the lifeline that Ashleigh requires.

Or the thing that ultimately kills her off:(

Super Marl is going to save himself

LukeB 07-07-2014 12:43 PM

would you think they will risk it? i mean they need food? i'm sure they pick family and friends letters over safety and now both?

Pete. 07-07-2014 12:47 PM

Black Dagger 07-07-2014 12:58 PM

Ashleigh has already gone against what she said earlier about messages from home being pointless she took hers at the first opportunity and drained the battery the selfish cow. Not looking good for her.

MeMyselfAndI 07-07-2014 01:09 PM

Ashleigh wants to leave, so this is a twist to seal her fate, no?

Pete. 07-07-2014 01:09 PM

the perfect scenario is Ashleigh safe and being replaced by Ash

it's probably is

I have a feeling BB did this because if the backlash following Matthew's eviction so there won't be more backlash if Ashleigh goes

Tom4784 07-07-2014 01:21 PM

Hopefully Ashleigh gets saved.

With VTE Chris won't be going anywhere tho so he's safe regardless

Yaki da 07-07-2014 01:24 PM

My guess is that Jale gets given the chance. It would be a disgrace if any of the 4 are able to do so.

If Marlon saves himself then it's curtains for Ashleigh.

This show just gets sillier sometimes. Imagine Marlon getting 60 - 80% on every poll and they just hand him a lifeline to be saved. That would be beyond unfair.

Genuine question.

You heard Ashleigh's chants on Friday night and she is second on all/most polls to be evicted.

Now would you say it was beyond fair if she was saved through this task and not Marlon?

Yaki da 07-07-2014 01:25 PM

How reliable is tellymix on these things btw? Because it seems like something that would be asking for controversy.

Locke. 07-07-2014 01:26 PM

Putting this together with the news about Helen's pass it seems like a bit of a set up for Ashleigh to save herself and put Helen up.

We got the same press release. The task they are doing is true and yes it does say

Big Brother’s App Zone in the Large Task Room where they can trade energy to use a Big Brother App which will include: messages from family, and safety from nomination.

If she were getting 60 - 80% on the polls to go after they had had nominations and were supposedly doing a normal eviction, then yeah. It would be wrong.

Imagine if they did this with Pauline when she was up? And now they might do it with Marlon?

Brother Leon 07-07-2014 01:27 PM

Ashleigh wants to go so I doubt she takes it. Unless she's bull****ting. Marlon doing it would be hilarious for the online reaction.

Its not just about Marlon though there is five of them up anyone of them could save themselves.

Marsh. 07-07-2014 01:29 PM

So if one housemate takes themselves off the nomination list, could another housemate willingly put themselves up to gain more power for the battery?

Yes, but obviously the production team know full well it is between Marlon and Ashleigh this week. The others have little to no chance of going. What if Marlon were to take it? That would mean they gave the person who they knew full well was topping the polls to get a free pass.

Do you think that's fair regardless of it being Ashleigh, Marlon, Pauline or whoever?

I think since it's part of the task, whoever if any of them decide to take it then I won't be bothered.

But then that's probably because I'm not fussed who goes this week.

Adamw92 07-07-2014 01:49 PM

Oh look, yet another way for them to mess with the nominations, FFS. :bored:

chuff me dizzy 07-07-2014 01:50 PM

Will Helens pass be up for grabs ? if Marks money is that should be too

That'd be a good too. Though if they do that then Jale's killer nomination should be able to be revoked somehow. Like say, whoever takes the chance to save themselves from this week's eviction will then be given Jale's killer nomination for the remainder of their stay.

Bluerang1 07-07-2014 01:52 PM

Helen could lose her pass.
