Its his accent and voice that pulled her in in my opinion. Americans absolutely love the 'British accent' and his tone can be quite hypnotizing; but it is clear she has been creeped out by his overbearing and clingy manner since. Nearly every clip of the pair of them ends with her rolling her eyes.

She needs to get away from him and he needs therapy.

You can imagine him in one of the Saw movies. "I warned you Kimberly, didn't I warn you, now it's time for you to learn, I'm going to teach you."
