It's a Game Show
okay alot of people said its a game show and everyone is right, also people say you gotta play for yourself that is also correct but there one thing everyone is forgetting, after so many years of big brother we should know by know how to play the game. if i was going in there i would want to get further. but how can you get further when you dont play as a team? if you play as a team and act in a certain way there is a chance you will escape eviction alot but for example if you do a marlon and lose a shopping task or think of yourself you will become a target.

Marlon pushed the button to 'get further' but it didnt seem to help him with the Queen and johnny fu.king Bravo giving it large did it?? |
but marlon thought his friends wouldn't betray him like he did...he didn't know he'd be up for eviction the following week.
it is a game and he saved himself after hearing a lot of boo's in previous weeks...i don't get why they all threw their toys out the pram!? in hindsight it was the wrong move but if i was in his position i would of pressed it and would of expected my friends to be cool out of it and if they weren't i'd play the victim card a lot better than he has lol |

It's not even a game show. It's a rigged show. They made the decision to evict the person with the most votes knowing full well who that person would be.
They essentially said "Okay, Marlon's time to go on Monday, what twist shall we come up with to see him off?" |
Is it still a game show? When it first started it was a sociological experiment with an element of "game show" as there was a prize for the winner.
Now, it seems more like WWF with storylines, face turns, heel turns, gimmick changes, stables, contracts and Armageddon pay per views. If it is WWF send Undertaker in to chokeslam Steven off the roof. |
it annoyed me last night when they kept saying that - it was clearly just an excuse not to hate on Marlon

He was a target before then anyway.
Getting further in the game depends on being liked by the public (or it used to be until these non public vote evictions). Taking something like a pass of immunity or pass to the final is fair play IMO. If Big Brother provides those options then its fair enough for anyone to take them. |

What if the housemates went over the top in their reaction at him pressing the button because they were told to make an over the top reaction? It was a very dramatic episode wasn't it? Was it natural drama? |

No button and he was out last Friday with Ashleigh probably topping the nominations on Monday so you should be grateful he did press it otherwise Ashleigh would be gone. I don't know why you're getting all giddy about it, the button was for immunity from last Friday's eviction, he got it and that's all there is to it. |

if helen said 'i would of saved myself...it's a game' then they all would of agreed. it just happened that they all jump on the bandwagon |
I think the reason Marlon pressed the button was so that Ashleigh would be evicted. It didn't work though because of Ashleigh's fanbase.
New plan to ensure she is evicted. Give the 3 new housemates the power to evict without a public vote. Ashleigh is gone, nothing public can do about it. Use Marlon as the test subject to soften the blow |
its an advert for planet of the apes and 70's disco albums

Marlon was absolutely right to push the button as he knew he was in danger. Even though it put the target squarely on him the following week, it was a zero risk gamble if he thought he would have been evicted Friday had he not pushed it. Which he would have been. So he's no worse off now having pressed it and suffering the consequences. The others are sanctimonious twats, especially those who took luxuries throughout the week during the task. |
I miss when it was classed as a 'Social Experiment'

if me and you went in the house and lets just say i'm a team player and your not? who will get furthur? me because i proberly have escape being up for eviction |
after seeing marlon push the button and get hammered for it because they would only be getting basic rations i was surprised to see how much food they had in the store cupboard it didnt look very bare to me ,and how often do we hear them say they are hungry know one looks any thinner to me ...

[QUOTE=iiamlukee;7056002]okay.
if me and you went in the house and lets just say i'm a team player and your not? who will get furthur? me because i proberly have escape being up for eviction[/QUOT Whether he is a team player or not had nothing to do with pushing the button. Had he not pressed the button, he would have been evicted Friday. Being a team player would have gotten him nowhere. He knew nothing about Monday's twist, so game wise it was the right thing to do at the time. For all he (or we) knew at the time, this week's twist may have saved him. It was absolutely a zero risk strategy if he believed he was in danger Friday-- which he was. Being a team player does not mean you ensure your own eviction for the good of the team when there is a chance to be saved, even if small. At the end of the day, BB is a game and it is not a team sport. |
