Gary was only in the house for ten seconds and he already...

Made me laugh out loud 3 times. :joker:

JoshBB 19-08-2014 09:34 PM

I don't get the hype tbh, he seems alright though but maybe a bit off his rocker.

He's bloody funny. :joker:

He didn't even know who Frenchy was, and they once dated. :cheer2:

Gillian-73 19-08-2014 09:41 PM

Ditto. He was funny!

Loukas 19-08-2014 10:13 PM

I think he's a fantastic signing for the show!

What a guy :clap1:

Rob! 19-08-2014 10:15 PM

What?

Pincho Paxton 19-08-2014 10:27 PM

I was too busy psychoanalysing him to laugh.

jegmeister 19-08-2014 11:07 PM

He is incredibly funny without even realising it - I think he's great. But he is going to have to watch that temper - if we see more of those outbursts (like when he was in bed) he will lose popularity quickly.

elliebrew 19-08-2014 11:32 PM

I find him utterly unwatchable! It's cringe beyond belief

I feel like he shouldn't be in there

Have we taken to idolising and laughing at an obviously very ill man

It would be funny if he knew what he was doin and saying

But the fact he doesn't know what's happening most of the time and you all find it hysterical i just find tht wholly uncomfortable

Pete. 19-08-2014 11:33 PM

Um there clearly is something not right and it makes awful viewing

He's 70 with a hearing impairment, don't be so patronising.

So? You're acting as though he's in need of a straight jacket.

He's fine. Just because he comes across as a bit scattered physically and took time to settle in doesn't mean he can't handle it.

Once he was settled and chatting to the housemates he seemed completely calm and fine, just his hearing holding up some of the conversation.

Your missing my point

Your nt laughing at him because he's being humorous or having a laugh

Your laughing at him because he's scattered, and confused and doesnt know what's going on

That is uncomfortable for me

Probably worked hard to forget her. :hehe:

But as I say, he's obviously slower and has some health drawbacks but he's fine. So far.

I'm not laughing at him full stop so wind your neck in. :nono:

If I was who are you to say what I'm laughing at?

He does know what's going on but he's not familiar with the show so naturally questioned things and took a bit to have things explained.

What? The Frenchy scene.

He did recognise her "I know you" but he's over 70. Even the fittest of them struggle with memory. How long ago were they together?

Don't say last week.

lostalex 19-08-2014 11:52 PM

anyone who doesn't think Gary is fit to be on the show, STOP WATCHING. and if you don't then **** about it, hypocrites.

seriously we had to deal with this bull **** all last year about lauren. if you don't like it then stop watching. simple as.

Speak for yourself, he is a naturally funny man. The ageism on display here is ridiculous.

lostalex 19-08-2014 11:55 PM

i'm not gonna put up with the same ****ing people using the same ****ing excuses to be trolls again. just don't watch then. I guess you think all disabled people should just be locked away and cared for in small dark rooms. **** off /

Aggressive much

I don't agree with laughing at a confused man

His age has **** all to do with it

His brain injury does

70 isn't old these days

CaudleHalbard 20-08-2014 12:04 AM

He is confused and deaf. It is a bit uncomfortable watching him. I have to say.

Haven't found him in the least amusing so far. Watching a brain damaged and hard of hearing person is not my idea of fun. :(

So 70 isn't old enough to be showing the effects of ageing?

His hearing and slower moving is just a coincidence.

He is perfectly in control of what he is doing. So he is a bit deaf and takes time to understand what people are saying. This is a reason to say he shouldn't be on the show? If there were any issues with his mental health, he wouldn't be on there.

My mother is 70 and fit as a fiddle! A lot of 70 year olds are

His hearing and slower movement are down to brain injury

Leslie (who I believe may be lying about hi age) is prob close to 70 himself and he's fine

Good for your mother. Is that the same for all 70 year olds? No.

Bloody Dot on EE is busy and fit as anything for her age in her 80s. Is that the same for all of them? No, quite a lot of people are dead by then.

How do you know his hearing and slower movement is down to brain injury?

My grandad now has two hearing aids and glasses at 75, he has no brain injury. It's the effect of ageing.

You're doing the same as the guy in the other thread about Leslie is, judging on the packaging and the labels as opposed to the person themselves.

No one laughs at Gary Busey for being confused, they laugh because he is a hilarious quirky guy and ALWAYS has been like that, he has a hearing problem fgs that doesn't make him confused and he isnt brain damaged to the extent some would have you believe..

He is also a fantastic award winning actor and is probably the only one in there that is a true celeb. I respect him for everything he's achieved throughout his 40+ year career. I am stunned that they actually managed to get him for our CBB.

You are determined to pigeonhole him into a predetermined hole you've made up in your head after one highlights show....

No Josy

He isn't all there

Don't try an swing quotes around to be ironic

Don't like him, he's uncomfortable to watch, he shouldn't be in there

Struggling to hear people doesn't mean he isn't all there.

You not liking him isn't a good enough reason for him not to be there.

Yes it is

He's made a lot of people on social media uncomfortable

He is a loose canon and I don't care how much of a legend he is

I am uncomfortable watching a confused rambling man who people have repeat themselves too constantly

Not entertaining at all

That's not my issue Marsh

My issue is he didn't remember a woman he had. Two year relationship with

An you think he's all there?

And before you blame age for memory loss

You don't just draw a blank on two whole years of your life

He also obviously knows Spencer Pratt otherwise Steph wouldn't have brought it up

Gary didn't deny knowing him because he was was being 'badass' or 'owning' somebody with a put down.

He obviously doesn't hav any recollection of him
