Audley given a warning over Kellie nomination reasons

Quote:

Audley has been given a warning over his reasons for nominating Kellie

Housemates nominated for the first time last night, face to face – and Audley has been given a warning over his reasons for nominating Kellie. Audley nominated Kellie and Leslie.

After the nominations had ended, Audley talked to Kellie to discuss his reasons for nominating her. Audley’s reasons for his nominations were that he thought she should leave as the world was ready for her as Kellie, he wants her to set up a fight for him and that he sometimes feels uncomfortable around her and that he didn’t want to share a bath with her.

Kellie got upset by what Audley said and eventually told him to pi** off, while Audley was trying to explain his reasons for nominating her. Audley replies and says that he is working through his discomfort.

After talking with Audley, Kellie visited the Diary Room to talk to Big Brother. Kellie tells Big Brother that Audley’s reasons for nominating her were stupid. ‘I don’t feel annoyed, I feel cheated.’ she says.

Later in the evening, Audley is called to the Diary Room and was given a warning about his reasons for nominating Kellie. Audley tried to explain his thinking and said that he has known Kellie as Frank for 20-30 years and that the change has shocked him and all the boxing fraternity.

He says: ‘I think anyone would be crazy to suggest that you just switch and make the adjustment, it’s going to take time.’

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm

I can see where he's coming from but he should probably have kept it zipped in the BB house really.

Jords 28-08-2014 04:25 PM

I can understand the warning but Audley wasnt rude about it.

Tarryn 28-08-2014 04:28 PM

I don't get why he was warned. He never said anything nasty.
So most of the group can treat Gary like **** but Audley get's warned for this ?.
It's a mad world :inamood:

FlippingEck 28-08-2014 04:31 PM

See. This is why people lie.. honesty just gets you into trouble. It's total BS.

jessicadanielle 28-08-2014 04:32 PM

I really don't think this should have merited a warning. I'd understand if it was someone who didn't know Kellie when she was Frank, because it would just sound transphobic, but Audley has to deal with someone he knew as a man becoming a woman. He was respectful in how he worded and stuff. I suppose it might have been more tactful of him to just not mention it and come up with another reason, but at least he was honest.

Pete. 28-08-2014 04:33 PM

Messy

Pincho Paxton 28-08-2014 04:35 PM

Hmm sharing a bath with Kellie, or sharing a bath with golden showergirl Lauren which is better? There's only one way to find out... Get Kellie to set up a FIGHT!

sampvt 28-08-2014 04:35 PM

Freekin ridiculous. That Freak Kellie needs certifying. This whole PC bulldust surrounding her journey and reason to change are fictional and just plain unbelievable. Now Audley gets warned for telling the truth and hurting her feelings and she gets off scot free after threatening to be violent towards 2 different housemates.

BB need to grow what Kellie no longer wants and man up. CH5 are making a mockery of the program and the HM's are now making a mockery of BB with their whinging and insistence that they be shielded from mockery.

Poor Kellie my arse, she is conning her way into the final with the poor me's and BB jump every time she calls foul.

Tarryn 28-08-2014 04:37 PM

I'm far more offended by Kellie using the sympathy card every time somebody upsets her than anything Audley said.

Liam- 28-08-2014 04:38 PM

I wonder if he would have been given a warning had Kellie not done her little 'pity me, you hate me because I'm a transgender' routine with him this morning? ridiculous warning if you ask me.

Sophiee 28-08-2014 04:40 PM

I don't think what audley was saying was offensive, I actually agree with him but it's never a good move to reveal your opinions on something like that in the house.

FlippingEck 28-08-2014 04:41 PM

If I hear Moany Maloney witter on about the "Journey" to being a woman, I think I will scream...

No-one is buying it ffs.. that wig tho... :laugh2:

I thought this too...

Kellie gets arsey whenever somebody nominates/criticises her in a task so whatever Audley's reason had been for nomming her she'd have got all defensive and offended.

Hi Sophiee... you're forgetting.. in BB honesty is offensive!!!!!

Jarrod 28-08-2014 04:43 PM

Before writing this article I actually had to email the press team to make sure this was a proper diary room warning and not a Housemate just warning him.

Tarryn 28-08-2014 04:43 PM

Dee should be given a warning for nominating George coz he has a high pitched voice then.
It's something he cannot change & a personal insult.
Double standards :nono:

Ultimist 28-08-2014 04:44 PM

I think Audley was respectful about the whole thing. The warning was totally unwarranted.

It's human nature that any major change around us takes an adjustment period. When we get to know someone, we eventually attach an "identity" to that person. We get used to seeing them a certain way, interacting with them in a certain way. If someone you know, and have known for a long time, was a man for decades, and is suddenly asking you to accept them as a woman... it takes a time to adjust. It's definitely not like a light switch. I felt that Audley adequately explained his reasoning... but evidently BB producers didn't think so.

I guess they're too worried about offending the public (people changing the channel is what they're really worried about). In this case, though, I think they got it wrong.

zakman440 28-08-2014 04:44 PM

 yet Dee doesn't get a warning for nominating George because of his voice?

Bluerang1 28-08-2014 04:45 PM

goodness sakes

What a piss poor reason for nominating someone wasn't it...

Dee.. I nominate you for being an idle waste of space and looking/talking like a bloke..

Brother Leon 28-08-2014 04:46 PM

His reason was understandable. Of course he's going to take a while to get used to it seeing as he's known her for years as Frank. You nominate who you want to live with least and for him the whole awkward nature of it all means it's a reason for him to not want to live with Kellie.

I can just see BOTS now going PC overlord now regarding it too.

Her self pitying is really getting on my nuts now, i can't cope with her anymore, i hope to god that she goes tomorrow.

I completely agree.

ThriceShy 28-08-2014 04:55 PM

So Audley isn't allowed to nominate someone he has known for 20 years due to his discomfort with their new gender.......but 9 housemates are allowed to "brutally" (in Dee's words) nominate a 70 year old disabled man for things that are a result of his disability.

True! Anyone who nommed Gary for having to repeat themselves needs a warning if Audley needed one. Ridiculous.

LukeB 28-08-2014 05:02 PM

dee should get a warning to, her nomination was silly! channel 4 would never accept this

warrenhill 28-08-2014 05:27 PM

Audley is the only house mate to know Frank before the show so of course he would feel a little awkward around her now...

Jake. 28-08-2014 05:30 PM

I don't find his reasonings bad at all, fair play.. The bath comment just wasn't needed though, could have kept that to himself

Crimson Dynamo 28-08-2014 05:33 PM

more pandering to sexuality

That's one major flaw with the present format of BB.

Housemates are not allowed to be candid as they know that BB will use it against them at some point in the future. What we are seeing is a watered down version of events and happenings.

Exactly, political correctness gone mad. Completely ridiculous

JoshBB 28-08-2014 05:52 PM

That wasn't discriminative or anything though, he said himself he is trying to adjust to it.

Dollface 28-08-2014 05:54 PM

This is just ridiculous. If Audley gets a warning for this, surely Dee deserves a warning aswell? Her nomination of George was just as personal

poppsywoppsy 28-08-2014 05:59 PM

I say let Kellie play up to her poor me stance because it is the quickest way to get rid of her.

As for Audley, the sympathy has reversed for him, he is the one wronged. Apart from Gary, Audley is my winner.

waylander1973 28-08-2014 06:07 PM

If his nom was allowed, then he should not be warned, Madness.
