Places you've dreamed of going?

Well?

Some of mine:
Tokyo, Japan

Osaka, Japan

Seoul, South Korea

New York City, USA

Kyle 14-09-2014 11:18 AM

Funny you mention Japan, I have a weird fascination with Zen Buddhism and would love to go to a nice secluded mountainous temple and meditate overlooking the view.

I would have said Tibet too but I don't fancy being impaled on the end of a Chinese soldiers bayonet just to go see the sights.

Natalie. 14-09-2014 11:29 AM

Tokyo and anywhere else in Japan. Texas too

Amy Jade 14-09-2014 12:25 PM

New York is amazing, Tom.

I went earlier this year and I am going again in September 2015. I loved every minute.

I really wanted to go to Japan, specifically Tokyo, but after their country got fukushimad it doesn't seem as appealing.

I guess there are a few places in Canada I'd love to travel to, other than that I'm happy enough reading about different countries.

..Sooty went quite recently, you should talk to her about it Claudia..and your worries about it...

Calderyon 15-09-2014 08:47 AM

Somewhere in Japan, probably Tokyo or Osaka, New York/Los Angeles or Grand Canyon in US, Australia (Probably Sydney or Melbourne), New Zealand, Egypt (for the Sphinx and the Pyramids), Rome (for the Coliseum), London, Paris, Rio dé Janeiro, Greece, Berlin, Prague, China (to see the Great Wall), The Moon or Mars...

Niamh. 15-09-2014 09:39 AM

Thanks, I know it's safe, I still want to go there, it's just my desire is not as strong.

It would take me a year to save enough and so far I haven't been able to save a penny, well that's not true I do have a change jar that I save coins in  but if I mange to start putting proper money away and it becomes more than a vague ambition, I will get in touch with sooty and ask her about places to see.

Shaun 15-09-2014 01:46 PM

there're way too many, I've only been on school trips to Normandy, Cologne, and stop-off trips in Maastricht, Bonn and Ypres... and Portugal when I was like 1 or 2...

If I had to pick a top ten countries I want to go to some time it'd probably be:

- USA (NY, San Francisco, Chicago, New Orleans, Colorado...)
- China (idk where)
- Japan (idk where)
- Italy (maybe Florence, Venice or Milan)
- Spain (Barcelona or Valencia maybe)
- Russia (somewhere not in the middle of nowhere)
- Sweden (anywhere tbh, as long as I don't get murdered by nihilists)
- UAE (Dubai specifically, because I have friends there)
- Mexico (anywhere tbh)
- Brazil (got to be Rio or Sao Paulo I guess)

curlsltd 15-09-2014 06:28 PM

Not really fussed about going anywhere in Africa or to Australia tbh

Ninastar 15-09-2014 07:12 PM

Rio - ALWAYS wanted to go there, even before all the world cup craziness. I've always loved the look of that statue <3
NYC (again) - I want to go back to NYC again... but at christmas time/winter. I'm hoping Livia takes me for our 5 year anniversary xo
L.A - might actually get a non manish girlfriend here, seeing as the places is crawling with closeted hot lesbians <3
Australia - not sure where... just Australia tbh
Thailand - just to one of those white sandy beaches
Fiji - it's beautiful there...

I cant think of any more atm... which is strange. i always dream of travelling

Ninastar 15-09-2014 07:14 PM

Oh and I'd really love to go to Africa, but I can't do that till I have an actual career, because I know for a fact that I'd struggle to not take a child home and give it a better life... My mum went and people were begging her and crying for her to take their kids home. I want to adopt an African child (or more than one, who knows) so I'd really struggle to visit there, unless my life was sorted out.

home.

but my parents sold my childhood home a long time ago. :(

LaLaLand 15-09-2014 10:30 PM

All over USA, especially Alaska. Also Canadian Rockies, Iqaluit, Norway, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand. Also close to home - Shetland and Orkney.

Asia doesn't interest me at all sadly.

that's a good list. i also don't like places that don't speak english. people who don't speak english annoy me. it's hard enough dealing with different accents, but dealing with a totally different language? forget it.

I don't even think it's because there's such a language barrier, I think it's just too much of a culture shock in general. Plus it'd be WAY too hot and humid for me! I suffer in Spain in the winter :P

yea traveling is stressful enough without having to worry about language.
