How to Get Away With Murder

Quote:

The series was created by ShondaLand writer Peter Nowalk, and will be executively produced by Shonda Rhimes and distributed by ABC Studios. Viola Davis stars as a law professor at a prestigious Philadelphia university who with her students becomes entwined in a murder plot.[2] The series will air in the post–Shonda Rhimes' Scandal slot on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m.
obviously Viola Davis (The Help) is amazing so that's worth a watch... also stars Matt McGorry and Alysia Reiner (Bennett and Figueroa in OITNB), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas in the HP movies) and Billy Brown (Sons of Anarchy/Dexter).

It's got pretty good reviews from what I've seen.

What Shaun said its a great show but all the characters are so annoying!

Shaun 14-10-2014 12:21 PM

I especially hate Connor, he's so rude to that girl :bawling: I assume we'll find out why soon.

Firewire 14-10-2014 12:31 PM

I've been watching this, it's fantastic viewing. Loads of gay sex.

Shaun 14-10-2014 12:32 PM

"lots of gay sex. 10/10 - The Firewire Chronicle"

Tom4784 14-10-2014 03:33 PM

I've enjoyed it so far, I can see myself becoming bored of it before long though.

JoshBB 14-10-2014 03:39 PM

What channel / website can I watch this on? Looks amazing

The series will air in the United Kingdom on Universal Channel starting October 22

BigSister 14-10-2014 11:07 PM

Hahaha Shaun agree so much about Connor I want to punch him sometime

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 17-10-2014 01:46 PM

Love it. Watch it every week after scandal.

However, Wes is gorgeous but he constantly looks like a dear caught in headlights with that long ass neck kind of craned and it' s just irritating now. Like does he have any other expressions.

I hate the characters (except forgettable girl) and think it'd farfetched as hell but I still ploughed through all 4 episodes entertained. It's not the best show in the world but it's filling a gap.

Shaun 18-10-2014 07:04 PM

yeah i feel the same

others have said this about Revenge/Once Upon a Time but those are just terrible actors... these are good actors, but given horrible parts  (and silly stories)

BigSister 18-10-2014 09:47 PM

This weeks in America was SO gripping.
Spoiler:

especially the end

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 31-10-2014 11:50 PM

whhaaaaaaattt long neck Wes is getting some balls this week and threatening Analisse?!! Going back to watch :amazed:

BigSister 01-11-2014 12:37 AM

This gets better week after week. Great episode this week ^_^

Vanessa 01-11-2014 03:48 AM

Is this any good? :suspect:

Shaun 01-11-2014 08:10 AM

It's very fun viewing, Ness, but a lot of the time when watching I'm just sat here thinking "all of these people are horrible" but it's very fast-paced and entertaining and dramatic.

LemonJam 22-11-2014 12:12 PM

dat last episode tho like waaaaaat.

Asher and Bonnie are my favourite characters by default now LOL

Firewire 22-11-2014 03:46 PM

It was so good

I disagree, but I don't know how many you have seen.

Started watching in back in Sept, gave up on it two weeks back. Viola is, yeah, amaziing, but the story line just kept getting worse and worse. It came down to about 1-2 minutes of the hour worth watching. Then it was bumped to a different time slot on my cable, and I had to make a choice to watch or drop...

unless it comes out on Netflix at the end of season and I am bored enough to pick it up again, I won't be watching anymore

Black Dagger 22-11-2014 05:19 PM

Oh I need to watch this because Attitude has informed me there is a lot of homosexual scenes.

Such a good programme - love that Shonda has a 3hr block now on a Thursday night (US time) - all 3 of her programmes are brilliant.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 31-01-2015 12:14 AM

I am 4 mins into last night's ep and I've decided that Annalise killed that girl that people think sam killed. She had this whole think pre-planned.

And i've seen gifs of her caressing Wes's face wtf they better not do the hanky panky. He's too young for you.

Congrats to Viola for her SAG award and Matt McGory.

Mystic Mock 31-01-2015 07:59 AM

I have disliked two of Shonda Rhimes previous works (Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice) but this is very good so far, my favourite characters probably being Annalise, Connor, and Asher.

Niamh. 01-05-2015 10:07 AM

I love this show  not finished S1 yet though so I can't read this thread properly

Niamh. 01-05-2015 11:02 AM

Last episode I watched was (I'll spoiler this just incase eventhough it's already aired)

Spoiler:

Annalise got Frank to set Nate up  I couldn't believe it, She's got that poor ****er fired already and now she's setting him up for murder :nono: I was disgusted at her. I hope she has a plan to get him off again and Mr. Moral highground Wes is just going to let an innocent man take the blame for him?? hhmmmmmm

Lostie! 01-05-2015 12:25 PM

Glad you like the show, Niamh! I found it really addictive once I started it.

Niamh. 01-05-2015 12:27 PM

I love it, it's really twisty

Niamh. 01-05-2015 12:27 PM

also I like all the flash back scenes

Lostie! 01-05-2015 12:39 PM

Yeah, that's part of what I love about it. I love mysteries and whodunits anyway so I had a feeling I'd like it.

Niamh. 05-05-2015 10:55 AM

So I finished season 1

Spoiler:

So Frank killed Layla then, all those flash backs with Layla made me want to congratulate whoever actually did it :hehe: Sam hired him to do it though so technically he's responsible

Spoiler:

Haha yeah, the flashbacks made Lyla less sympathetic as they progressed. Rebecca too!

Speaking of which, who do you think killed her? I like that we've got a new murder mystery (with the victim being an established character) going into the second season.

Oh I assumed that it was Frank? But I guess you never know with this show, they're forever moving the goal posts

Spoiler:

With the way they did it, I assume they intend Rebecca's murder to be a new mystery so I just get the feeling it wasn't Frank. Wes and Frank were already revealed as the killers in the two Season 1 mysteries so I'd love someone else to be the culprit this time, but at this rate the entire cast will one by one become either killers or murder victims. :joker:

I can't say I feel too bad for Rebecca though, not after what she did to Rudy. :nono:

I know right? what she did was actually worse then killing someone :/

Spoiler:

Definitely.

She was essentially the "Lila" of The Killing US, when the first two seasons of that show revolved around her character's murder so I find of feel like this has come full circle now.
