What makes you nostalgic?

Well?

I get nostalgic listening to music from when I was growing up (Lily Allen, Cascada, Rihanna, Beyonce) and watching old episodes of Big Brother that I can remember watching.

Hmms... lots of things.. but music is definitely up there... music from certain eras reminds me of certain times in my life..

Raph 31-10-2014 12:00 AM

Yeah music and tv from the past for sure. Also walking by certain places that I associate with a memory from the past. I went by my old school yesterday and that got me feeling super nostalgic!

Yeah, I tend to associate certain songs to particular events/periods in my life so whenever I hear that song again those nostalgic images pop up!

Nostalgia is a funny thing.. I love it and hate it at the same time

Same here:laugh:

I can get nostalgia about periods of time which weren't that long ago - whenever I hear Lana Del Rey's 'Gods & Monsters' I think of April this year, really loved that month!

LukeB 31-10-2014 12:03 AM

music! like i listened to girls aloud earlier and gave me so much memories

especially something kinda ooh and sound of the underground

Liam- 31-10-2014 12:03 AM

Old tv shows I used to watch and games I used to play.

I bought a N64 the other week because I remembered it and I've been playing it nonstop ever since

Also, my nieces and nephews are over quite a lot and they watch the modern day versions of tv shows I used to watch as a kid and it makes me want to watch them all over again from the beginning.

Cal. 31-10-2014 12:04 AM

I'd love to relive 2002-2008:lovedup:

Ninastar 31-10-2014 12:05 AM

certain smells and foods do

and TV shows... the theme tune to Pokemon makes me really nostalgic. and sad. I remember being on base with my friends and we'd all go to someones house to watch it.

Dude! N64 is the best thing to ever be created. What games did you play? I played Mario Kart again a couple weeks back on it and it was the most fun thing. The theme songs like the rainbow road song definitely make me nostalgic too! Simpler times.. :)

Creggle 31-10-2014 12:14 AM

Pokemon, especially the cards, are nostalgic as hell. I remember being 5 years old and getting my first few packs  straight down the park trading them with other kids (ripping them off :creep:) and then selling the really rare ones for actual pound coins! Like back then, in the area I grew up in, pound coins were something we young uns would strive to collect, god why did you make me rethink all of that OP?

nothing really. when I'm really sleep-deprived and coddling a cup of coffee while sitting on a heating vent at 5am I'm reminded of 4 ****ty years of high school mornings.

Liam- 31-10-2014 12:20 AM

I didn't know that there was a sequel to it though, I only found that out recently, I keep meaning to get my hands on a copy

they're easy man, literally an installer then you open the program up, drag in a ROM (google game roms) and it boots, can even control them with a 360 pad

you can get no$gba for gameboy/gameboy advance and DesmuMe for the DS aswell, playing pokemon on an emulator is so much better than an actual DS cause you can speed the game up and play hacks like blaze black, perfect platinum etc

Music and Christmas. Songs remind me of the people who liked them too and also things I was doing at the time I first heard certain songs.

Christmas takes me into the world of those sadly no longer with us,young and old.
Recalling the good times and laughs we all had, especially with my Grandparents.
