I'd like to think that the forum has moved on a lot since last year so wondered if Matt was considering doing them this year?

we dont need this in any way shape or form.
we have had enough of members taking things too far.

if there is an opt out list like there was going to be last time why are people that clearly want nothing to do with it even commenting

It is pretty much no good for the forum. It's not far removed from people going on other forums and chats to slag members off. Part of the same kind of thing.

i know it is a public forum but why would you purposely speak out against something that would have absolutely nothing to do with you (assuming that you opted out)

Assuming the people who opt out dont want to be involved, surely the people who let themselves be left in will obviously take it in good heart like it's meant to be James?

I take it that the razzies are just an 'award ceremony' to take the piss out of people in a lighthearted way?.. I don't see the issue if people want to be involved in it.

when you are a member on this site, you can have an opinion on anything and everthing, regardless of the fact you wont be taking part.

Some people aren't on-line enough to know they have to opt-out. People that opt-out can get the impression they are being ostracised.

It's only a few people that get mentioned in the awards - some of the people who take part are happy to do so, but only because they know the won't 'win' anything.

If more people knew about the kind of stuff that has been going on behind the scenes, and the reports staff get and the trouble it all causes, they'd agree.

I dont see why people are so desperate to have a thread to diss other members,Jeez just everyone try and get on.

Oh, I don't know about that, but if there was an opt-in system it would be fair for it to take place on TiBB.

i mean i'm going to get attacks on here, off here, whatever. people do that. it happens, and quite recently obviously. closing this was a wholly ineffective way of sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending it doesn't happen. at least the whole 'ceremony' of this all made it look ridiculous and silly and quite easily forgotten about (except by members who're...curiously...permabanned now...???!??!?)*

No. I was thinking more along the lines of bringing it back to this forum where it belongs.

Well the people who turn it to crap are blissfully permabanned now :think:

But recent events that have done to light have proved that the content spewed on that other forum was malicious and meant to cause harm. The razzies aren't really like that.

It's a bit like Groundhog Day though as all the possibilities were explored last time and then a new forum was created specifically for it, I'm just wondering if they ever took place offsite? I don't care enough about it to protest too much either way, though I did vote no to be awkward :D:
