Anyone own a nutribullet?

I want one, are they good?..

Marsh. 25-11-2014 02:00 AM

No but I want one too. I always see it on those awful commercials when the channels change in the middle of the night.

Kizzy 25-11-2014 02:10 AM

Like now for instance... seriously though they look great and it would be a quick way of eating all the healthy crap that it's hard to factor into meals throughout the day.

Yes - Marsh is being pedantic and snobby. It is a fecking blender. (Marsh is so snobby, I bet he goes about taking photos of St George's flags hanging from terrace house windows:hehe:)

Thanks lee :) My mum asked me what I wanted for crimbo now I know.
No excuse not to have that carrot, chia and kale smoothy now

Pressed fruit and veg drinks are the future, no one thats cool uses blenders.

LikeABoatOnWater 25-11-2014 12:22 PM

i recommend the omega cold press juicer range, so many nutrients get destroyed by blenders

Kizzy 25-11-2014 12:24 PM

How come pressing doesn't damage nutrients then? Pressing just extracts the juice, I want the fibre too.

LikeABoatOnWater 25-11-2014 12:27 PM

"There's juice, and then there's cold-pressed juice. This new darling of the healthy set is wreaking all sorts of changes on kitchen benchtops and juice shops as people update their appliances. So what's so great about this kind of juice?

According to the cold-pressed converted, these juices contain more vitamins, minerals and enzymes than those made with a traditional centrifugal machine. It's all in the method, apparently, as the fresh fruit and vegetables are, as the name suggests, "pressed" so the maximum amount of nectar is extracted from the pulp and fibre, leaving a raw and fresh juice."

Kizzy 26-11-2014 06:18 AM

But what of the fibre?.. there is no evidence that the heat associated with centrifugal force depleats vitamins.

Kizzy 26-11-2014 08:03 AM

Are you suggesting this will gather dust next to the breadmaker and slow cooker in my kitchen? :hmph:

I put in a handful of spinach, a handful of kale, a couple of handfuls of frozen mixed berries, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.. Looks disgusting but actually tastes ok :)
