Fleur East - Uptown Funk, the most overrated performance of the night?
 

Am I the only one that thinks that this very gimmicky and average performance was really overrated by the judges tonight? All she did was use a backing track, and danced through most of the performance without singing a note, and then when she sits down on the chair her vocal falls apart, I mean Simon's script fell apart there I think.:joker:

You must have **** in your eyes and ears because it was AMAZING! Im not even a Fleur fan but I literally watched it back 3 times.

She is as good as any popstar out there at the moment.

I don't see her as anything special,her first song, they may as well have just played Mariah Carey.
For me that is a nothing song and Fleur did absolutely nothing with it to make it stand out.

Her 2nd song was performed good but the arrangement and backing was what made the song sound really good.

None of them are anything like likely World class stars and Fleur while being good,is just another average performer overall.

In my opinion Fleur gave the best performance since Alexandra Burke - Listen(which has been my favourite, because I haven't saw that moment until now)

I'm stating that she's very overrated (like last years winner was) for other stuff that isn't to do with her singing, if you want to watch a dancing show there is a show on BBC1 called Strictly Come Dancing, and on Sky 1 called So You Think That You Can Dance.

And also how come Fleur was the only one doing an uptempo tonight? Simon deliberately did it to make her standout because she can't actually compete with the other 3 without some pathetic little gimmick, this being the most effective one of them all.

And she wasn't allowed to stay on earlier than Lauren in the time slots either, I wonder why that was? The show has always been a sham, but it doesn't even bother to disguise this year, if you're not a fan of Fleur and have been supporting someone else just give up now as we've been forced to have Fleur win.

She was brilliant

Lauren does better at uptempos than Fleur, it proves it as she needs less gimmicks on them than Fleur does.

And I get that Lauren may not be to your style but pretending that she can't sing when she clearly can is laughable, the only one that factually cannot hold a note is Fleur.

She was relatively fun for the earlier weeks when there was boring dross in there that couldn't hold a note, but they're all gone now and the fact that Fleur is considered a winner off this Uptown Funk performance is laughable, she actually hardly sung on a singing competition.

Is it really seen as a gimmick to be able to sing and dance these days?

Lauren is a great singer, I enjoyed her voice a lot and I have thrown votes her way in the past but Fleur is more than a singer, she puts on a performance and thus far she is the only contestant in the final 4 who I think is just more than a good voice.

Fleur also got 1st & 2nd two of the worst places, the only reason she's getting praise every week is because she's amazing every week

I thought it was really good.

Sure the vocals were no Andrea. But as a performance as a whole Fleur is pretty much ready to be a pop star tomorrow.
