BS they wouldn't/shouldn't do that. When else are they gonna get someone in the bb house who was #3 in the charts 2 weeks before!! They can never get an "artist" who's that current.

He's only at number 38 in midweeks so by Sunday he probably wont even be in the top 40.

Well I've never heard of him so it doesn't really make that much difference to me - mind you, I know **** all about music.

He is selling nearly double of #4 currently and has been for awhile

Still he's doing great to be that high in the charts, I think CBB would be a good move.

His music credentials would be equal of most that go in tbf.

Oh ok then yes top 3 on iTunes but on the actual official chart which takes into consideration sales from all platforms he is at number 37.

I stick to the official chart not just downloads.

He will 100% not be top 3 in the official chart tomorrow he may barely scrape it into the top 40 but that's a stretch.

I was going from the official BBC update and thought you were purely going by iTunes.

The officail chart should know as it is who deals with all the uk charts it say its in the top 5 and its itunes sales are growing maybe you should stop being ignorant and admit your wrong?

Ben Haenow is clearly going to be top spot as its less than 24 hours till Christmas number 1 is announced and he is ahead of everyone sales wise.

If he was still at 37 today its highly likely he wouldn't hit the top 40.

BBC's site is still showing it at its midweek position of 37 but maybe they only update it on a Wednesday.

Yes BBC update it twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday) the officail chart updates it daily

Not neccesarily, the chart is based on sales & streaming, since about Wednesday uptown funk has actually been no.1 on iTunes & ik you say itunes doesn't really mean much but actually it counts for basically every sale as who buys cd singles anymore?! Uptown funk is heavily featured on spotify where ben haenow isnt/nor wealdstone raider but streaming only counts for 1% of a sale. As in 100 streams = 1 sale. So basically, for half the week ben haenow's been no.1 on itunes & half of it's been uptown funk.

So to the point, wealdstone raider will almost defo get top 5 today & as to who gets no.1 we dont really know. It might not be Ben, i hope its not x factor ruins xmas no.1 imo.

Bit harsh, he didn't ask to become so viral but at least he's embracing it now for a good cause, all the proceeds from his song are going to charity

I didn't say iTunes doesn't mean that much I just mean iTunes doesn't count for everything as there are a lot of other options to buy a song. Thousands do actually buy physical cd's especially stuff like The X Factor single....Its got stocking filler written all over it lol.

iTunes doesn't basically count for every sale it just gives an indication. The official chart and iTunes are never exactly the same amd cant you only use iTunes from an apple device? I personally hate apple and no longer have an ipad , iphone or Ipod I use my android phone for listening to music outside and download from Amazon or play.com.

iTunes counts for a lot but it's also mixed in with physicals (which don't really factor for anything much these days) and streaming, hence why the official chart looks slightly different to iTunes on a Sunday

I already said that the charts can resemble each other yet they are not the same and sometimes things are number 1 on I-tunes that are not eligible to chart on the main top 40 so at the same time they can sometimes be totally different.

Most people who buy music do not buy it from iTunes because not everyone is married to Apple.

Yeah but what i meant was the amazon/play charts (if they have one) look pretty simlair to the itunes one cuz just cuz you have a different phone doesnt mean you buy different stuff. I think most people stream these days anyway.
