30 years between them

Niamh. 06-01-2015 11:12 AM

it looks so wrong, he looks like a little boy standing next to his grandad :/ He looks younger than 27 as well, he looks about 18 in that last picture

Liam- 06-01-2015 11:14 AM

Oh Jesus.. never mind punching above his weight, he's punching above everyone in the world's weight

Crimson Dynamo 06-01-2015 11:15 AM

thats looks 6 kinds of wrong

:umm2:

joeysteele 06-01-2015 11:15 AM

I wish them well,it is almost like re-run of the film Wilde, that Steven Fry was in playing Oscar Wilde.

You know, I just think age is a number anyway,if they are happy and both really are committed to each other then as 2 adults, good luck to them both for the future.

This, i was going to say good to see a man marrying a man as i'm all for that but i saw the pic and thought that looks like he could be his grandad

arista 06-01-2015 11:18 AM

who is on Top?

Liam- 06-01-2015 11:18 AM

I don't think it helps my image of this couple that i've always found Stephen Fry to be creepy as hell tbh

I'm all for people being happy and love who you love, but i can't help but feel a little bit weirded about by this, 30 years is a massive age gap to be in a relationship with, but good luck to them nonetheless.

Yeah, best of luck to them and all that jazz, he's not a kid or anything I just think it looks weird when you see much older men/women with really young partners. It reeks of who you are/what you have rather than true love /cynical

Mokka 06-01-2015 11:20 AM

Is it only a 30 year age gap? It looks like 60

I like the Fry Guy and all, but he hasn't aged well, and it isn't helping his cause here

I ain't saying he's a golddigger...

joeysteele 06-01-2015 11:25 AM

I know a lady who is now 54,she is married to a guy,a friend of mine, just 3 years older than me who is now 25, they married when he was 21.
They are 2 of the happiest people I have come across and so dedicated to each other.

Maybe in time that will change but why put off happiness now, thinking of possible negatives as to the future.
Personality and affection count more than a number as to age.

No one even stares at them when they are out together, not that it would bother them if anyone did.

Still - he is one of the intelligent and astute people on the planet - I'm sure if the two of them have fallen in love, it's for a good reason.

thesheriff443 06-01-2015 12:20 PM

they are both adults and single, wish them the best of luck.

I think it was only a couple of years ago that Stephen fry, tried to kill himself.

Jamesy 06-01-2015 02:01 PM

It does look creepy and weird but meh, who am I to judge. If they love eachother then there's nothing wrong with that. Best of luck to them.

Shaun 06-01-2015 05:46 PM

JoshBB 06-01-2015 06:18 PM

Good on them. It may seem weird to us and others, but we should not judge.

Marsh. 06-01-2015 06:19 PM

If Stephen dies of a heart attack during sex then I want that boy arrested.

I have no idea if they truely love each other or not, just congrats to them. Stephen has been through some troubled times with his health issues, it's good to see him quite happy :)

Crimson Dynamo 06-01-2015 07:07 PM

I just hope that Steven knows what he is up to

As in the words of the great Joan Rivers; "What was it about multi-millionaire Stephen Fry which first attracted you?" :hehe:

Shaun 06-01-2015 07:34 PM

is he even that rich  I've never wondered how much money he has...

Hi Shaun,

Around £12 million according to 'Rich'. His real wealth is in his intellect, knowledge and personality though, so it's a pity he doesn't hire a surrogate mother and have her AI'd with his sperm so he can have a child to inherit everything.

Shaun 06-01-2015 07:44 PM

:joker:

I suppose he gets a pretty healthy fee for QI, and then the Harry Potter audiobooks must have paid well. Plus he's often doing voice-work (that Little Big Planet game, various adverts)... I was just confused because he hasn't really created something to reel in the royalties and merchandise money (other than the Fry/Laurie sketch shows, which I can't imagine earned much)

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 06-01-2015 07:46 PM

tbh people acting as though this guy is only with him for him money :umm2:

he isn't even attractive lmao like lets not pretend he is eons out of his league

Shaun 06-01-2015 07:46 PM

i now know why liam keeps pissing on my "showing scott a hot tumblr user" parades if he finds this guy attractive :idc:

Shaun, this is from the 'HowRich' website:

His first big pay check came when he made nearly GBP 1 million on his rewrite of the musical Me and My Girl.

Stephen Fry is also a hugely successful author. His first novel, The Liar, was published in 1993, and was critically acclaimed. Revenue from his varied book sales are estimated to exceed a total of £ 4 million and has made a Fry an estimated £ 500 000 in royalties.

Fry has also made a fortune from TV ads, earning £ 100 000 just from the M&S 2009 Christmas advert.

Excluding intangible assets, such as the potential future value of copyrights to his work, we are estimating that Stephen Fry has a net worth of around GBP 12 000 000 (USD 20 million as of April 2012).

Shaun 06-01-2015 08:47 PM

ah yes, the musical, forgot how much ridiculous money they make  thanks kirk

Give me all your love boy
You can be my boy, you can be my boy toy
In the nick of time, I can say a sicker rhyme
Cause it's time for change, like a nickel or a dime
I'm roman, I'm a barbarian, I'm conan
You was sleeping on me, you were dosin'
Now move, im goin' in
