Would You Rather Know Now or On Launch?
 

Would you rather know who the housemates are like a week before it starts or wait until the launch day?

BBCan/BBUsa Reveal the houseguest a week early but i guess that's because they enter a week before it's air date but it gives people first impressions on who we might see on the series.

Part of me wants to know before the Launch but part of me wants to wait until the launch show.

What are your thoughts?

I can wait i love the guessing part

no i want to see them for the first time on launch, it's different for CBB

The whole point of BBUK is that you first meet the housemates on launch night and build your impressions of them from there, based on what they do in the house.

Yeah they do it with bbus/bbcan because they don't have actually have a proper launch night.

(which is why I don't like the thought of civilian housemates being rumoured prior to the launch. How someone that nobody's ever heard of can be rumoured in the press is beyond me :laugh:)

Guessing? How are you going to guess for the civilian BB. The point is they're not famous?

Like if it's some irrel nobody's I really don't see the point in all the secrecy. I think if they had a good bunch of housemates that make the viewer want to see more, revealing the housmates before and using them for promo's etc may pull in more viewers.

Launch I guess but they always leak beforehand anyway.

I'm pretty sure Helen was the only one rumoured last year anyway. Most of the rumours were that 'Britain's vainest man'* or someone was going in.

*who I just googled and it turns out he was found guilty of harassment in February, having taken an overdose the previous day. :umm2:

He sounds like he would have been fine in the house.

I'm sure Steven and Kimberly would still have found a space at the wedding of the century for him.

BB11 launch was made more exciting because of the shortlist release.. Even thought the prods pretty much picked the most boring bunch.

Steven would probably give him the front end.

I would hate it if they revealed the housemates early. I hated it when they revealed the BB11 shortlist days before Launch.

Didn't the names and ages of the BB7 housemates leak before launch night, if I remember correctly.

On launch night. I really wouldn't like a pre-launch reveal like BBUS and BBCAN do.

I know some of the housemates are leaked beforehand, but I mean I wouldn't want an official reveal by the show before launch. It just wouldn't feel right for BBUK tbh. I remember they did it for Celebrity Hijack though, but that was a very different series anyway.

On the launch. Knowing them beforehand doesn´t suit BB UK.

No! The surprise is all part of the launch night excitement.

I'd rather wait until launch, it wouldn't feel right having an official announcement of all housemates a few days before. It would take away any excitement for launch night for me.

I like the way we have it now, desriptions before launch but find out actual housemates on launch night

..I wouldn't want to see them before the launch..it would feels more like a CBB in that you could start to have pre-conceived opinions of them and then it's more difficult to observe their character and be objective about them...

I'm from Canada and I prefer you're launch night to how BBCAN/BBUS do it. It pumps me up. I love watching them dick around in the house while they wait for more people to join them.

If we knew then the launch would be pointless.

I see absolutely no benefit in spending a week on talking about someone we haven't yet seen on the show.

On launch, "knowing" their faces a week before would not be of any use to me anyway :laugh:
