The women swear like troopers!
Would it kill them to act a bit more ladylike? Yeesh.
|
I want everybody to be individuals.
Swearing is not a big deal to me. |
They can swear as much as they like
|
If that's the way they really are then I see no problem with it
|
And they all smoke and they all look old.
|
Loads of women do these days.I think being lady like has gone out the window:laugh:

when i say to a lady on a first date do you want to come back to my pad and i will read you some poetry - you would not believe the words i hear and swear words seem mild to there reaction. i think lady like and elegance has gone out of the window. |

..it's not really something that bothers me, it's only their terminology and it's more about looking beyond that to their characters...it's only really if it is used to offend and insult in a mean/nasty way...other than that it's just words...

Swearers are generally uneducated and have poor morals. Ive been married to my wife for 43 yrs and neither of us have heard the other use more than sh 1 t. The f and c word would never be uttered in my house and if it was, I would be shocked. Even my kids don't swear. In closing I am not calling all swearers loose, I am simply stating an opinion so try not use it for a shallow dig. Its a fact of nature that profanity is the invention of the undereducated. |
..it's not though...there have been some highly educated housemates who have used similar or the same terminology...
|
I wouldn't make it a gender issue, if you don't swear an don't like swearing then I would have thought that would mean from everyone.
I do swear, but not in general conversation.....it dilutes the effect  |

I love a good cuss and I can be very ladylike! I think knowing the right time and place is important! I'd never swear in front of my kids, in public or whilst at work or in a restaurant etc, but if I'm with my sister and/or friends I can turn the air very very blue! :)

My dad rarely utters anything stronger than bloody and he finds it quite offensive when people swear in general conversation. I can swear with the best of em but would never swear at or in conversation with him (I learnt that the hard way on the end of a mouth washing with soap and water). Having said that, I don't feel I am under educated or immoral and I can, and do, express myself quite adequately without swearing as needed.

People that swear a lot are known for being more truthful In any case there are much much worse people with lower morals than ones that curse Rapists Murderers Peadophiles Burglars Con Artists The list could go on and on and people that swear would be at the very bottom of it. |
I once called my dad a C u next Tuesday when i was a kid.Did'nt do it again though:dog:

Excessive swearing can be a bit much, but saying they shouldn't because of their gender is ridiculous.

Josy if I was to say to anyone........Excuse me but you are mistaken and need to leave me alone, would that have the same impact as me saying....Oi w.nk.r you are a tw.t now f off. I think my version sounds more plausible and swearing isn't acceptable on tv because it unsociable and regarded as wrong so why not apply those virtues in real life. |
That's possibly the most sexist OP I've read on TiBB. "cant she act ladylike" no how about u stop acting like its the 1800s
|
They do every season though :umm2:
|
I find swearing by men and women unattractive. It's also used by many who don't have a good vocabulary.

I just find profanity unessessary and vile sometimes but its always to do with the mood and what tone its said in. |
