Nominations regarding age?

Do you think they should be allowed?

divergent 18-05-2015 09:11 PM

not a valid reason at all, poor eileen's just a scapegoat

Headie 18-05-2015 09:12 PM

Justice4Eileen

Scrap the noms I say

Drew. 18-05-2015 09:13 PM

Definitely not if its the only reason

Jay. 18-05-2015 09:14 PM

not at all, she acts younger than most of them in there :umm2:

Heaven = Winner 18-05-2015 09:14 PM

It's so annoying ffs

JoshBB 18-05-2015 09:14 PM

No. It's ageism and discrimination tbh. Totally unfair. Will probably be tactically voting to save Eileen if I can.

Kizzy 18-05-2015 09:15 PM

It's because she moaned about being woken up... like jim did constantly so she might win :idc:

Margarine. 18-05-2015 09:16 PM

they wouldn't allow

"Sorry Jack but you're fatter than me so I think you might get annoyed if I eat your crisps in week five"

same thing really

Ross. 18-05-2015 09:16 PM

Nope, not a good enough reason.

Tom4784 18-05-2015 09:18 PM

It's a weak copout and it shouldn't be allowed.

just thinkin 18-05-2015 09:18 PM

So unfair to eileen.....she's one of the good ones...thought it very dramatic and sneaky of jadw to blame the other girls for her nom of cristian too...gone right off her

Lostie! 18-05-2015 09:19 PM

Nominations based on age, and hypothetical situations that may never happen, should not at all be allowed.

Jake. 18-05-2015 09:22 PM

This is ridiculous, what sheep they are

reece(: 18-05-2015 09:23 PM

No I find it shocking, they should put a bunch of older HMs in and allow them to nominate the young ones on that reason, I bet they'd kick OFF.

Withano 18-05-2015 09:24 PM

Exactly what I was thinking, of course not.

just thinkin 18-05-2015 09:26 PM

Danny voted jade...wow. ..accorsing to her he was made into her

smudgie 18-05-2015 09:30 PM

:nono: Disgusting for it to be allowed as a reason.

RichardG 18-05-2015 09:31 PM

No it's a silly reason and I'm surprised it was allowed.

lily. 18-05-2015 09:32 PM

No. Those noms were ridiculous.

But, CH5 ought to have more of a range of ages in the mix. She is 51 and the next youngest is 30. Hardly a variety. I like her and I don't think it should matter how old she is. Surely it is her personality that counts.

susie q 18-05-2015 09:32 PM

No it shouldnt be allowed, she really was just the easy target for them. I hope she gets the biggest cheer on friday. I shall be voting for Sarah mainly because I dont want another fake romance but wouldnt be bothered if adjoa went instead.

waylander1973 18-05-2015 09:42 PM

It should not be a reason for a nomination, but what can you to about it.

Daniel-X 18-05-2015 09:45 PM

I think big brother should have either made them give a valid reason for nominating her or make them pick another housemate. Age ain't a reason why someone should be voted

zakman440 18-05-2015 09:46 PM

Absolutely not. The housemates who nominated her should be ashamed of themselves and Big Brother needs to get tougher with the housemates on the reasons they can and can't give.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 18-05-2015 09:47 PM

it's dumb af

they are nominating her because she could get annoyed with the bedroom antics eventually, not for something that has already happened/how she has been with them :umm2:

rionablue 18-05-2015 09:48 PM

At the risk of everyone saying I am wrong I think that every housemate should be allowed nominate for whatever reason they need to give. Eileen is very popular on here that's why her fans are crying #FOUL when the younger housemates brought up the fact that she is older than them and they don't want to be disturbing her when she sleeping etc etc etc. If I was absolutely struggling to give a reason to nominate someone I hadn't exactly bonded with I would possibly have given something along the same reason as a nomination as it doesn't have such a sting in its tail when it is put that way

Eileen is years older than everyone and BB should have put a more diverse range of ages in the house like they always did. BB isn't just a kids game. Therefore it is natural that the younger housemates would have a better bond with each other as they have so much in common. I like Eileen she went right up my list of housemates after her secret mission but lets be honest up to then she had hardly featured much atall in the highlights shows. So I for one wont be calling FOUL and there is no reason whatsoever for her army of fans to fear she will be evicted. She will be the first one saved Friday night mark my words

joeysteele 18-05-2015 10:01 PM

No way, I think it is a ridiculous reason and should not be a valid one at all.

As for Eileen wanting to sleep when they don't, well wow, what a response they would get from me if once I had settled down for the night anyone woke me.
That is one of my strongest dislikes.

All beasts would be let loose when I let fly at anyone disturbing my sleep and waking me up.

It's age discrimination.

Josy 18-05-2015 10:46 PM

Completely ridiculous reasons like that shouldn't be allowed

Jamesy 18-05-2015 10:50 PM

All of the reasons were ridiculous.

Nominating because of age, because someone nominated you, because they are quiet in a group...

Shows how the producers make things up as they go along. Going hard and arsey on Nick last Friday night when he nominated yet letting the rest of them get away with cop-out reasons.

Angelika 18-05-2015 10:52 PM

No, age should not be a reason to nominate - its ageist, it's wrong! It's a cop out.

The age range this time round isn't representative of the audience it attracts. There should be more 40 - 70's in there to create some balance.

Agree, it's discrimination, should not be allowed.:nono:

jaxie 18-05-2015 10:58 PM

I t.think she is an easy target because her age makes her the odd one out. I don't understand why BB don't mix ages more.

This really, it's stupid

BigBrotherfan4ever 19-05-2015 06:50 AM

No it shouldn't be allowed

jennyjuniper 19-05-2015 07:31 AM

No. If racism, sexism and genderism(?) isn't okay, then neither is ageism.
I wish BBUK would take a leaf out of BBAustralia's book. Their BB is much more strict when it comes to giving reasons to nominate.

Jords 19-05-2015 07:39 AM

To be fair it was only age-related. The fundamental reason was the bedroom/sleep situation and noise at night. If they stated purely "because shes old" of course.

...I absolutely love Eileen.
