Did the plan work?

So did the producers plans actually work?

I know most are extremely pissed off at this twist, I am one of them but........the forum is certainly buzzing since the announcement

Adamw92 27-05-2015 10:35 PM

Not if those that are pissed off tune out thanks to it.

MB. 27-05-2015 10:35 PM

Yeah, I guess so. But it'll have no effect whatsoever on the ratings and that's what they want most of all.

Denver 27-05-2015 10:36 PM

They must be protecting one of the original Nominees tbh

Jay. 27-05-2015 10:36 PM

no for the first time i'm thinking about giving up watching.

the producers deserve the show to die now tbh

Drew. 27-05-2015 10:36 PM

It's got people talking but in a completely negative way which can't be any healthier for the show than what it was before the twist.

All publicity is good publicity in showbiz

Amy Jade 27-05-2015 10:37 PM

90% of the reaction has been negative

i can only see them declining even further tbh

Headie 27-05-2015 10:38 PM

Nope. All the people complaining are the diehard fans who are considering tuning out. Once they tune out, the show is dead (although you could argue it died a long time ago).

Amy Jade 27-05-2015 10:40 PM

I think ratings could decline. Sarah seems to have a lot of fans (She's got one of the biggest fan clubs on here) and she causes a lot of debate seemingly so loosing her to an unknown entity who could turn out to be a Chloe seems pointless.

Glenn. 27-05-2015 10:42 PM

I'm not pissed off with the twist. I'm not pissed off that the nominees were switched because it saves a lot of HM's I like. They have just gone about it the wrong way.

If Emma had told us last week that this was going to happen it would be fine. This weeks nominations would have been intense to watch, to see who would and wouldn't be up.

This. Pissing off the die hards who come back every year just for a quick spike one week is stupid in my opinion

jackc1806 27-05-2015 10:43 PM

The prospect is awful. I'll see on Friday how I feel.

Calderyon 27-05-2015 10:44 PM

I donīt think they care one way or another, tbqh.

They just do what comes to their mind.

Jake. 27-05-2015 10:44 PM

No, viewers aren't going to increase long-term (if at all) and it's left the hardcore fans pissed.

Jamesy 27-05-2015 10:47 PM

It worked in getting us talking, but we're hardly praising it

Northern Monkey 27-05-2015 10:49 PM

So they may get more viewers this week,They may but they will probably lose alot more for good.Silly move really.I think this twist spells beginning of the end of BB.It is desperation,Trying to go down with a fight but fighting the wrong people - The fans!

I am really dreading that awful man being one of the 'newbies' D:

Kizzy 27-05-2015 10:55 PM

Vicky... don't even joke about that! :nono:

emma27 27-05-2015 10:56 PM

Absolutely ridiculous hate the twist if sarah goes i aint watching no more far too early for a big eviction like this seriously the producer's need to re think evict them fine but put them in a secret house for a week or two dont put new ones in that just wouldnt be fair at all...

I completely agree

Calderyon 27-05-2015 10:58 PM

Only for short term, i think. But i think at some point people are just going get fed up and then come to the conclusion of not bother watching it and just switching off.

Razor 27-05-2015 11:38 PM

It's a poor thing to do but this years housemates have been bland so far.

Well it has made friday a must watch show but it could very well have ruined the series. They need to put some seriously entertaining people in on friday.

Wish they would put simon back in.

rionablue 27-05-2015 11:53 PM

When we all found out that the twist seemed to be reversing the nominations and that the nominated housemates were safe and the others up everyone said so THAT WAS THE TWIST? God its been done SO MANY times before. Now we have a complete shocker that NOBODY saw coming. I couldn't believe it at the end of the highlights show when Marcus said 4 were being evicted. I thought maybe a secret house was involved and if THAT was involved people would say again that its been done so many times before

Its a twist that has never happened and it was a shocker for good or bad reasons. I am a die hard BB fan and there have been years that I wanted to turn off as the housemates were grating on me or I didn't agree with whatever decision BB made HOWEVER I haven't and I wont. I like BB and I will continue to watch it no matter what happens. I really want Kieran to be saved and I am hoping he will be

Jake. 27-05-2015 11:56 PM

^ it has happened, in BB11. And it was a disaster.

Kizzy 27-05-2015 11:56 PM

I'm hoping the newbies will be worth this cull... How do we know they won't be twice as boring?
It will just be camp old and camp new won't it.. voting each other out constantly?

ThriceShy 28-05-2015 12:13 AM

Weren't 4 evicted in one week at the end of BB11 in order to protect Josie?

Dash Darington 28-05-2015 03:02 AM

"Did the plan work?"

We'll know based on the ratings over the next couple weeks. I think they're burning the furniture for firewood at this point, and will see a brief uptick in ratings followed by flatline.

billy123 28-05-2015 03:13 AM

#bbuk hasnt trended once on twitter and it didnt last night.
If it wasnt lively on tibb with the 100ish big brother fans that post here then that would be strange but it certainly hasnt lit up on social media.
Eileen trended once for about ten minutes in 8th place on about day 3 on twitter and that was it as far as this series has managed.

It might have livened up the forums for an hour but it hasnt had an impact really.
