How

How do people find that vile idiot Marc entertaining?

Please explain.

Daniel. 09-06-2015 10:06 PM

He's the worst housemate since Conor

Mystic Mock 09-06-2015 10:09 PM

How come your swear word hasn't bleeped out?

Anyway Marc is overrated, but like Helen last year, his probably getting fans because his the only one being shown to do anything.

Josy 09-06-2015 10:09 PM

Theres plenty of reasons been posted all over the forum.

He has breathed life into both the house and the dull housemates for a start.
He is funny
He causes drama (most moaning about Marc normally crave drama on here)
He is interesting to watch, to see his reactions to things and so on
He is creating a huge amount of talking points

Marc is the housemate from this series that will be remembered long term.

And before anyone pipes in with the usual crap, yes he does cross the line at times and has said some really disgusting things but to think of the hm's that's been removed in the past he isn't half as bad.

-It was entertaining last week but now he's dominating and keeping the dynamic the same, it's like watching the same episode endlessly. like Helen
-He caused drama which I appreciated, but now he's just spiteful
-I don't find him remotely interesting to watch him be horrible and do the same predictable things all the time
- He is, but so did other vile people like Helen and Aaron BB12, so that's not always a good thing

Withano 09-06-2015 10:15 PM

Airtime = entertainment... apparently

reece(: 09-06-2015 10:16 PM

I champion entertainment but not to the expense of extreme degradation of others. Misogynists are the worst types of HMs.

You asked why people like Marc and I gave my opinion, obviously you disagree or you wouldn't have created the thread in the first place.

If we all agree on everything the forum would be a very quiet place.

Who did Helen bully? And from what I've seen I don't think that Marc's a bully either.

Tbh I think that Marc will end up losing the series though because people will be like me and get fed up of BB cheerleading him all of the time.

There's something about him where it doesn't seem malicious and he says things to go with his humour and to make people laugh.

-The house was fine and the series had potential before C5 was insecure with the ratings and felt like they had to throw in an asshole to run around and call everyone ***** and *****s. Yet another thing to thank Perez Hilton for
-Marc's "humor" is what I would expect from one of my middle schoolers. Marc is nearly 30.
-Drama itself is not entertaining. Especially when it's inorganic "drama."
-Other housemates who have created a lot of talking points include Conor McIntyre, Danielle Lloyd, Ken Morley, etc. I'm not impressed with talking points.

Marc will be remembered, and this series will be remembered too. It will be remembered as a joke of a production, with Channel 5 haphazardly throwing HMs in and out, creating pointless twists, and ultimately being a parody of a real BB season. As someone on another forum pointed out, it's the human centipede of BBUK -- a medical experiment gone wrong, dragging its bloody self through the laboratory, screaming to be killed.

Well straight away from your very first sentence we disagree, I don't think the house was fine I think it was boring and was a chore to watch, every since the newbies entered my interest has been back to 100% and I'm finding it great entertainment.

I'm one of the viewers that doesn't like a lot of drama in BB, if it happens naturally then fair enough but I don't like it to be constant arguing 24/7 however my point was that a lot of people hating Marc normally thrives on drama or housemates that cause it.

It's been debated over and over but at the end of the day entertainment is a completely individual preference some enjoy drama, some enjoy fun, some enjoy bitchiness and so on, some enjoy bits of it all just the same as some don't think Marc has any badness behind his words and some think he's the devil incarnate again all individual preference.

So really I don't know why there's confusion over why some people like certain housemates.

Her and Pauline treated her like **** and Big Brother was right to warn them about their bullying behaviour.

bots 09-06-2015 10:42 PM

i don't find him to be the least bit entertaining now. He is not funny, he just hurls abuse. That's not entertainment to me. There was a certain novelty value when he first entered the house, but I find it all to predictable and tiresome again now.

I'm not, but I'm catching bits because my Mom is watching it.

Well said Josy...

Unlike Helen ( who I couldn't stand )... Marc says things to people's faces and not behind there backs. Marc doesn't need any loyal gang mentality behind him to say what he thinks to people....and neither does he have the comfort of the pass to the final to protect him. Helen turned tact when she saw the final two weeks in and people fell for 'the fake nice side'... You won't see Marc do that. He knows he is a **** stirrer...he stays true to himself.

Daniel. 09-06-2015 10:46 PM

I'm pretty sure Helen and her fans biggest defence was how she said it to people's faces

Marc is much worse than Helen and I couldn't stand her for the most part

Macie Lightfoot 09-06-2015 10:50 PM

Why do people think it's so good to say things to people's faces? I wouldn't want anyone to shout at me and call me a cumbucket or whatever, or yell at me for literal hours like Truth Teller Helen Wood did (even though she wasn't a truth teller at all)

I agree.
And I'm a fan of Helen. Haha.

Having said that, I also disliked two-faced people, as well.

My like for Helen is the weirdest thing ever. I hate housemates like her, but for some reason I can't help but like her. It's messed up. I think I just have a soft spot for her, TBH.

wendywillow 09-06-2015 10:52 PM

I usually like (appreciate) a prick of a housemate and marc is one, but the way he attacks the easy targets... (chloe, sam, harry) is pretty disturbing. He has stayed away from going after the men for the most part after his first night skirmish. kind of telling

Yes he'll have a dig at the men but he is vile to the women

Oh definitely, but people act like saying it to your face is so much better. Like, I wouldn't want you scheming behind my back, but I wouldn't want you to shout all of your opinions at me either? Neither option is palatable and there's no need to say that one is so much better than the other.

Yeah, I only appreciate saying it to someones face if it is actually honest and helpful advice. Other than that, I think if you have nothing nice to say, then just keep it to yourself or address the issue with the person when the time is right.

I also don't mind saying it someones face if you actually take them to one side, in a one to one, rather than screaming at them across the garden, where everyone else is.

The problem is that all the honesty crap is driven by camera time and the house mates constant awareness of how they are being perceived by the public. There is nothing real about any of the interactions now. Maybe its me just being jaded with what I am finding a tedious series, but it just seems so contrived and false, it bears no relation to the original BB concept.

Rorkimaru 09-06-2015 11:11 PM

If the options are talk to my face or behind my back 100% to my face every time. I prefer to know what's being said about me and in a house where I'm with the same small group of people 24hrs a day for 3 months I'd definitely prefer to know what they're thinking about me.

mr rochester 09-06-2015 11:18 PM

I agree with all Macie's points 100%...

Liam- 09-06-2015 11:31 PM

He's listerally the most vile housemate there's been for a long time, truly disgusting.

Easily a bottom 5 housemate and he's quickly edging his way to the worst ever for me, how anyone could possible find him entertaining is beyond me, I don't find him funny, I don't find him interesting, I don't find him good for the show, there's literally nothing good about him imo, he needs to **** off asap.

Agreed. Conor and Darnell are the only housemates above him right now with me.
