Unless Marc went to the DR and said he felt threatened then no, Marc was calm and saw the situation as a bit of a joke.

Not sure, I think the warning is right, if it happens again then yes he needs to be removed. Luckly it was only a sandwich he threw as well, if it was something else he could have hurt Joel.

...hmmm, it is a bit of a tricky one I think...although goading was happening as well, the extent of his anger seemed completely out of proportion to anything happening when he got into Marc's face... should he have been ejected for that..?... I would have personally been fine if that had happened but I also think with these things, there should be consistency, not only with each housemate but also for every series as well...but then what 'forum fun' would that be..:laugh:../consistency...


..with the throwing of the sandwich..?...well it's also not knowing whether it would have ever only have been a just a sandwich or if he had 'lost beyond reasoning/seen red..' type thing and whether he would have thrown whatever may have been in his hand directly at the housemates...and the 'potential'....and that's something we don't know and won't ever...but whether thrown in anger or not, there were things like cans and bottles etc thrown directly into housemates during the storeroom 'food fight' and there were no ejections....so hmmmm...the most aggressive part for me was him getting into Marc's personal space in such a threatening way ...

I think removal was and is needed. It's the principle that he threw something. He threw it with the intent of hurting or hitting marc. Which would pose the same action as attempting to punch someone. It doesn't matter if it was a sandwich or a bottle/brick. It was thrown with intent on hurting/touching an individual which is assault.

I don't think it was with intent of hurting him, it was just a quick, poorly thought out reaction to the situation. After watching it again, there wasn't much of a reaction time which makes me think that he didn't really know what he was going to do. Yes, it was assault, but it wasn't assault with intent. I don't think it's something he should be ejected for, but it's definitely something he should be severely reprimanded for. He should be given a chance to control his anger to disallow it from happening again or else he won't learn.

I agree a quick poorly thought out reaction which next time could actually result in him hitting/hurting someone. So as to safeguard the other housemates removal would be needed surely?

Fast forward 5 years and read all about how Danny is doing in Broadmore. He is an accident waiting to happen.

I would be surprised if he doesn't get reprimanded; I think that's all he needs given the way he assaulted Marc. Removing someone from a situation is a quick fix; keeping them in the situation but getting it into there head that what they have done is wrong, gives them a chance to learn from it and do things differently. If he does it again, we know that he hasn't learned anything and Big Brother can swiftly remove him.

Certainly not. He was goaded by Marc who was doing his usual passive aggressive thing. And really, if Helen wasn't ejected for likening someone to a rapist and a murderer and also slandering someone is a "coke head" and alter admitting she had no evidence at all to back up that claim, then losing your rag when someone's winding you up is small fry. It's right he was warned though.

I think the way Marc reacted was part of the reason Danny the Coward wasn't removed.

If Marc had appeared scared or had cried or was upset in the Diary Room, then Danny would have been gone.

The fact Marc remained calm and almost laughed off Danny's pathetic 'hard man show', was the reason Danny stayed.

I'm all for giving people chances to learn from the mistakes. But what if he doesn't learn from it and an individual gets hurt as a result of his poor self control? Which brings me back to the point of safety. It seems big brother haven't got the housemates best interests in mind and all the care about is ratings.

He most certainly should have been removed. He's a potential danger in that house.

Yes ,beyond a shadow of a doubt for me.
while out socialising, I have seen arguments develop with others then someone butt in who was not part of the conversation/argument initially and who then aggressively go over, they have been ejected,while often the others have been given the chance to cool down or follow them out the door too.

Once you voluntarily move towards someone and invade anothers space and go right up to their face, you are threatening, intimidating and potentially violent.
No defence for Danny on this one at all, he should be out because he has already been told before, only a few weeks ago in fact, that he must control his temper and actions.
That he failed to do on last nights highlights so out he should have gone.

Just as anyone else should have to go had they done it too.

As much as I'd like him to leave, no I don't think that warranted a straight ejection. If he does it again after having being warned though, then possibly yes.

But for now a formal warning was enough I reckon.
