Raph's BBUSA Watching thread (Currently on BB4)
 

I've decided since I have time in the summer I wanted to watch the seasons I've never seen, like Luke did a while ago. Can't really call myself a true superfan if I haven't seen every season! :)

Starting off with 4 because Jun. Halfway through episode 1 and I love Jun already. Liked David initially but after his comment about 'Scott must be gay because of his clothes' I shake my head at his ignorance. Also, Nathan seems like a loser. And I don't really like Alison either and would hate a Ali and Nathan showmance. But i'm sure Jun alone will make this season fantastic for me!

Please no spoilers but feel free to share your thoughts as I get through the seasons.

Glad you've noticed that David sucks cos most people who watch seem to love him because he's so ~wacky~ or some ****.

Don't know much at all yet, almost done with the first episode -- I love this Ex-Factor twist! Here to see the dynamics of Jun and Jee!

I've watched loads of Jun videos and watch all her interviews/podcasts on Rob's podcasts etc so know her personality much more than all the others, but hadn't properly seen BB4 yet! I also love her twitter posts :)

Pretty good collection of seasons! 5 is underrated and it's way better than 4 IMO, 2 is amazing so plz watch that next. 3's good and 8 is just about okay

I'll have to keep you posted on what I think but definitely yeah not keen on first impressions. My top two are definitely Jee and Jun!

2 is overrated. 3 is underrated. You should definitely watch 3 next :love: Season 8 is pretty entertaining too.

Out of those I'd rank them 3 > 8 > 5 > 2 > 4

Other than Jun and Alison (and Michelle), I didn't really care for S4 tbh

I had forgotten who David was so I googled and I recognise his face but not anything he did, I think I liked him but idk? Then I found out his ex was Michelle who is still one of the hottest BBUS girls I think :love:

You should definitely watch 2 and 3 asap. Two amazing seasons

It honestly hasn't! Miles better characters as a whole than BB4 which really only has a few and also much better and more interesting gameplay

I will indeed! I'm thinking of doing 4, 2, 8, 3 and 5 in that order. And then maybe 7 again as it'll be interesting to rewatch that having seen the other seasons leading up to it. Although its such a shame that Queen Jun was living in Belgium during allstars :bawling:

as for ranking the seasons...

BB3: one of the best seasons in reality TV history
BB2: also pretty great and refreshingly simple considering that current day BBUS is riddled with Battle of the Block, Coaches, MVP, and other convoluted twists
BB5: has a lot going for it but for some reason just doesn't pop like other seasons?
BB4: perfectly middle of the road with a few amazing characters (remember when this was The Worst Season Ever? I would kill for a BB4 season considering what BBUS is currently putting out)
BB8: meh, a few AMAZING characters but also one of the biggest season-ruiners, which leads us to easily the least satisfying season from a narrative perspective. It's also the beginning of the end aka Grodner's first season.


Also, I don't know if we should be getting into this yet for Raph's sake but I'd be thrilled to hear everyone's opinions on Erika. She's such a randomly important person in BBUS canon who I have a bunch of feelings about even though she's a pretty inert person who shouldn't elicit any emotions from anyone? Like, she has a similar effect to Amber Brkich in some ways? Discuss.

Also Dustin and E.D + Daniele (even though i despise them) are good characters!

alol I ****ing hate Eric and he is *SO* lucky that Dick existed because on any other season he'd be my least fave ever. Easily bottom 10 for BBUS and holy **** does that say something
