Why is Joel so precocious....HATE HIM
Smarmy little nightmare.
A poster on DS said it better than i could 'What's wrong with him? He acts like he's thirty years older than he is, when in reality he's a kid with a long way to go and a lot of life to experience. Is anyone else cringing when he gesticulates like a politician and alludes to a superior set of ethics? Joel has proven to be spineless, slightly weird young man and I can only imagine his popularity here is due to how dull the rest of them are.' |

As much as he irritates me, he has been the one person left who's been true to himself all the way through and I appreciate that, he doesn't act like a 19 year old no, but that's because he's dedicated and passionate about the career he wants to get into, he can't be faulted for that.

To me he is meh. Just that he comes across as smarmy. And does not endure himself to me.

Not a single thing wrong with acting thirty years older than you are just as there is not a thing wrong with acting thirty years younger than you are too.
I also don't think he is precocious,he is just in the main honest and principled. |

Joel has done the most out the lot of them so deserves to win in that way tbh
|
He's mature. What's wrong with that? Why should we have to act our age? :suspect:

He's patronising and robotic. I can barely say who is Joel, he's just a pile of obvious statements.
|
Yep........the word 'Precocious' could have actually been thought up just to describe Joel. It describes him to an absolte tee!!!
I wonder whether if he doesn't win he'll try and make a big fuss about coming out in an attempt to snatch a little bit of press or maybe a story in Hello magazine to salvage something out of the situation. Would-be politicians are never ones to miss out on even the slightest press opportunity.:bored: |
idk maybe ask him

He's not as mature as he thinks he is but he's far more mature than those trashing him here.
Funny, his questioning and reasoning skills don't bother me at all. Everyone else's stupidity and lack of comprehension is far more disturbing. |

Thats not his fault. As he grows up, if he continues in politics Im sure he will a be a spin maker and a PR machine - which he already is He "presents" himself - rather than naturally interact with anyone - ever! A PR machine nothing more going on at all. It amazes me he has ANY support at all |
Somebody just said it. He is a spin machine. And normally, what do the GBP think of spin merchants. They are derided.

I think by going into the BB house Joel has scuppered any slight chance he may have had of ever becoming a 'real' politician!
He'll never be taken seriously in the World of Politics after this. Even if he tries to work his way up from a local councillor people will always see him as that precocious kid who went on Big Brother and didn't know which part of a chicken the eggs come out of!!!! Even if he can get past that any potential political opponents will whip their iPads out and pull up a clip of Joel dancing around in a mini-skirt and skintight gold jacket and he'll be done!!! His bloody pushy mother can probably take all the credit for this bad decision! |

His trying to play to the new wave of BB viewers that are now sadly the majority as it's making for boring BB's, and in a different way to Ch4 it's also making for boring winners as these right wing prodigies just keep going onto win every year just to spout off their agenda.
I have nothing against right wing contestants, I've even supported some of them in the past, it's just that I'd rather BB go back to being a left wing show again as it suits it's format a lot more than this does. |

I do agree with you that I hate a house full of thickos, but isn't that just BB for you nowadays? I know that most of the Ch4 lot weren't exactly Mensa, but they could hold 3D conversations, and when in an argument it wasn't constantly just telling the other person to shut up. |

The main things that helped Helen win though was that Ashleigh was a pretty blonde, and that some of her supporters (no offense) was unique to everybody else which Ch5 played on. |

Joel is a good communicator, that doesn't make him intelligent. I've not seen any evidence of an outstanding intellect, he is just a bit quicker off the blocks than the rest of them.
Its one of the reasons I think this BB has been the worst. The intelligence level of them is so low that they are completely one dimensional characters. When discussions revolve around does he/she fancy me etc, you know its not going to be a vintage year, and that has proven to be correct as this series has progressed. It was a terrible choice of cast by the producers. |

I mean just look at the people that they've billed as big characters in this series? Not one of them is normal. |
Quote:
Although Nick is a smart cookie. He just wants to avoid EVERY single confrontation. Cristian is smart too but does not use his intelligence well in arguments. Jack next the Chloe and Danny as the two who are as thick as pig ****. |

The intelligent Housemates of this series are/were.
Joel (for targeting the main demographic) Jack Nick Chloe Cristian Aaron Kieran Harriet Simon Marc (the most intelligent of the series imo) |
