He says he's straight, therefore he is straight until he says otherwise. Being camp =/= gay and I'm beyond fed up with speculation about people's sexualities that are effectively just an extension of this notion.

no one is being protective, if he says he is straight then he is, if when he was 30 he said he feels he is bisexual now then he would be bisexual. No one should question someones sexuality as it's just rude when he's already said he is straight.

The point I'm making is I am sick and tired of this outdated belief that being camp makes you gay, when it doesn't at all. And what's even worse is that it starts with an assumption that everyone is straight, where's the speculation about people being heterosexual? There isn't any, and it's ****ing appalling.

You can write me as long a list of names of people who have at first been scared to come out and then done so as you want, it doesn't change the fact that it is none of yours or anyone else's business other than that persons what their sexuality is, and it is even ruder to speculate based upon what is largely an extension of this age old belief that being camp or acting effeminately is rooted in sexuality, when it isn't. Michael McIntyre is camp and he's married with children, and I don't see anyone speculating he might be in the closet.

Should we just skirt around the issue if it's brought up and just refer to someone as camp ? I think that's far more offensive than just openly talking about it. like grown-ups in the 2010's.
