Do you think they should have aired Janice's fit?

I'm glad we got to see why she went to hospital, but I don't know if they should have aired her fit. It was actually quite hard to watch.

Xtopher 01-09-2015 08:26 PM

It was a bit too far imo

Pete. 01-09-2015 08:26 PM

Not really. For some reason it was fodder for some people to call her fake as well so

zakman440 01-09-2015 08:27 PM

I don't think that they should have aired the fit - they could have just shown what happened before and let Emma explain the rest of the situation.

MTVN 01-09-2015 08:27 PM

Don't think it was necessary really but it's the sort of thing where they'll be damned if they do, damned if they don't

smudgie 01-09-2015 08:27 PM

They no doubt asked her permission to air it, let's face it, the effort she put into that performance no way would she want it shelving:laugh::laugh:

Josy 01-09-2015 08:27 PM

They aired it because it was a fake fit, there's no chance she wouldn't have been kept in overnight for observations if that was a true case of anaphylactic shock.

jackc1806 01-09-2015 08:27 PM

It's a weird one. In an odd way, it was refreshing to see them air something that we aren't 'supposed to see', like the old days on C4.

Obviously the content was pretty horrible, but that's what BB is- a 24/7 reality show where anything could happen.

It clearly wasn't fake :umm2:

Being someone who has seen one of my best friends have epileptic fits about seven times it was actually shockingly similar

Lostie! 01-09-2015 08:28 PM

Yes, but with a warning that it might have been distressing for some viewers (I turned it on a couple of minutes late so no idea if they did or not).

Are you a doctor?

My father is an epileptic I don't get your point?

Bee stings cause anaphylactic shock not epileptic fits.

AProducer'sWetDream 01-09-2015 08:30 PM

No -but as she didn't have a seizure then I don't see a problem with it. I'm sure the allergic reaction was real and quite scary but that 'fit' wasn't completely genuine.

I know but what I'm saying is it's a fit all the same

No it wasn't which is why the medic never assisted her.

Well, it was clearly obvious to me if was fake.
My mother was a fitter...as was our little dog.

Jordan. 01-09-2015 08:33 PM

No, it don't think it was as entertaining as she intended

I thought the only thing you were supposed to do if someone is fitting is to leave them to it and make sure they don't come to any harm whilst their fitting?

I didn't personally have an issue with the them airing it - purely for the aspect of it was good to see what they do should a situation like that occur.

She had told him she had trouble breathing (never mentioned that until he asked her funnily enough) he would have at the very least made sure she wasn't swallowing her tongue.

How can you say it was fake? Why would she fake it anyway...

Daniel. 01-09-2015 09:17 PM

No but it made me laugh

This, they knew it was fake, Janice going for the sympathy Oscar after screwing up with the spitting.

Denver 01-09-2015 09:19 PM

If she had a real fit she wouldnt be out of hospital within hours

thats the facts, she may have become light headed from it, but that won't make her fit.

I can say it was fake because I think it was blatantly fake, it looked fake, the medic stood there watching as though it was fake and he called for assistance as 'Janice appears to be having a fit' which made me think that he also thought it was fake.

I can't be bothered going on so I will finish with.....

Fake.

Denver 01-09-2015 09:20 PM

Also if it was a real fit she would be frothing and constantly fitting not have a little fit fall on the floor and lie there

BB4fan 01-09-2015 09:21 PM

That was clearly fake.

Fake.

She has no reason to fake having a fit... why would she? it seemed genuine to me, i'm not a doctor but either are you.

JoshBB 01-09-2015 09:23 PM

It's a part of the 'highlights of the day' so yes.

Not necessarily.

And she was still convulsing when on the floor, I certainly didn't see her suddenly go still.

Camera Time.

T* 01-09-2015 09:25 PM

i never saw this what and when did this happen omg

erinp5 01-09-2015 09:25 PM

I have no medical background but it looked fake to me , she "fell" off the DR chair in a very controlled way .I also believe they would have to have had Janice's permission to air such a private moment .
Watching it here I still say it was an act

Her body was not moving much and had that been a real fit the medic would of made sure she was unable to choke on her tounge

Pete. 01-09-2015 09:27 PM

I think there are better things to pick up on for camera time/fairness during a CBB than faking a fit. Surely she can't win

Beso 01-09-2015 09:27 PM

The medic could hardly keep a straight face for god sake.

JoshBB 01-09-2015 09:27 PM

We are commenting on what we saw on the show and also our own personal experiences of things, you know like we always do. If you don't like it you can always go to another thread.

Agree....however I think Janice would have had to give her permission to show it. I think she would have agreed to avoid being seen as a 'drama queen'...
There is no way they would have shown it without her permission.
