Girl found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for encouraging boyfriend's suicide

18 year old Michelle Carter is on trial in a juvenile court in Massachusetts. Here's an Independent article about the case.

And here are just a selection of the messages she sent to him in the week preceding his death.

One of the most disturbing things I've ever read. This girl is a psychopath :umm2:

Niamh. 01-09-2015 10:09 PM

Jesus Christ. I hope she gets locked up evil ****

Glenn. 01-09-2015 10:12 PM

She should get the death penalty

Jordan. 01-09-2015 10:15 PM

Wtf, just read all the messages this is sick

Cherie 01-09-2015 10:20 PM

Poor guy she hounded him

Liam- 01-09-2015 10:22 PM

That's one of the most evil things I've heard for a long time, disgusting creature deserves to rot.

Amy Jade 01-09-2015 10:26 PM

evil ****ing bitch this is seriously one of the most shocking things I've ever read, she could have saved him but instead she hounded him until he did what she wanted.

If she is sent to prison I hope she is in solitary confinement forever and NEVER allowed accesss to a computer, unattended phone calls or letters. She is honestly pure evil

LukeB 01-09-2015 10:35 PM

:umm2: omg what a evil bitch... wtf she doesn' love him, she wouldn't let him go through with it!!!! I'm actually shocked at the messages

Ninastar 01-09-2015 10:35 PM

i literally feel sick.

Cal. 01-09-2015 11:15 PM

WTF what a psycho

RIP

the truth 01-09-2015 11:49 PM

im not even surprised..even though this is an extreme example, this sick selfie loving, materialistic society obsessed with vanity greed appearance, is packed with narcissistic psychos like her...where her public image is all that counts...she feels nothing, but must get attention and reward.....young men are infinitely more vulnerable immature and at risk of suicide and this evil twat murdered him. she deserves the death penalty

smudgie 01-09-2015 11:54 PM

Poor lad, she could have made such a difference to the outcome if she had only tried a bit of human decency and helped him.
His parents must be heartbroken, he sounds like he was such a loving family member, getting ice cream for his sisters and worrying how his actions would affect his loved ones.
The girl needs help, something seriously wrong with her.

why should the state pay for her to get help though. surely a murderer like that is better off taking her own advice and being put down

Natalie. 02-09-2015 05:40 AM

That's really hard to read, poor boy.

Ashley. 02-09-2015 05:51 AM

Twisted bitch.

armand.kay 02-09-2015 06:59 AM

Jesus Christ :o

What kind of sicko does this?? ****ing hell she's vile! She not only didn't help him in his time of need but she also encouraged him and pressured him into taking his own life what a horrid creature. She should be done for murder not "involuntary manslaughter"

Vanessa 02-09-2015 07:00 AM

She's a monster and should have got life. :omgno:

kirklancaster 02-09-2015 08:00 AM

There was nothing 'involuntary' about her actions - they were deliberate, cruel and calculating, and persistent, and she should be facing a murder charge.

Northern Monkey 02-09-2015 09:12 AM

Holy crap!!So he never deleted the messages then?

Kizzy 02-09-2015 09:24 AM

I'm just glad she was exposed, poor guy :(

Nedusa 02-09-2015 11:59 AM

Glad these messages were made public and the woman was exposed as an evil cow who probably convinced this young man to end his life.

But telling someone to kill themself is not a crime and as much as one would want to see her pay for her evil messages she did not actually harm him or cause his death. so I think any charges will be fought off and she will walk free.

but the damage to her and her relationships with her family and friends is long lasting and permanent, she probably needs psychiatric care at the least as her behaviour is psychopathic.

A sad case all round.

[QUOTE=Kizzy;8112451]I'm just glad she was exposed, poor guy :([E]

Exactly if she hadn't been caught her next boyfriend would have probably suffered the same fate - she deserves life

GiRTh 02-09-2015 01:15 PM

is this the same story as last week.

If so the this bitch is one evil bitch.

the truth 02-09-2015 01:16 PM

the law must be applied taking social media into account

Ashley. 02-09-2015 01:28 PM

This is murder. She emotionally destroyed the poor guy.

GiRTh 02-09-2015 01:31 PM

From last week.

Nedusa 02-09-2015 01:54 PM

It's not murder I mean if someone told you to kill yourself would you... If they told you a 1,000 times would that make any difference, probably not

I would probably kill the idiot who kept saying this

Ammi 03-09-2015 05:17 AM

..this is such a heart-breaking story..to have felt how he did and so low and then the chances of meeting her..but maybe both having mental illness and being drawn to each other..?.../how must his parents feel about her, jeez...

AnnieK 03-09-2015 06:21 AM

Those texts were hard to read.....the poor boy and his family.

Firewire 03-09-2015 06:36 AM

This is disgusting. Possibly the one person he trusted was getting upset that he hadn't done it yet. I hope she gets years behind bars. So sad.

..yeah it really is awful because by his texts, he obviously wasn't committed to ending his life and very lost in his confusion and thinking she understood and believed in him.../she must be a very mentally ill young lady..but I really do think she needs help rather than prison though ...

lostalex 03-09-2015 07:01 AM

she probably thought he was full of ****, like most people online are. the internet is not real life.

the truth 03-09-2015 09:07 AM

deliberately missing the point again alex , boring trolling

I thought she was his girlfriend though? Or was it just an online relationship?

Shaun 03-09-2015 11:27 AM

uuuugh that's disgusting. Couldn't even read past 10 or so of the texts.

Kizzy 03-09-2015 11:44 AM

I wonder what the maximum she could get for this is scary to think there are people with such little compassion and empathy, where is her humanity? :(

the truth 03-09-2015 03:47 PM

I don't know, the girl just sounds like a sociopath to me, the world has always had those unfortunately

JoshBB 03-09-2015 04:14 PM

Oh my god.. that's so awful!! How could you exploit someone with obviously poor mental health like that, and why??

Idk this whole "involunary manslaughter" bs, it's murder. It's her fault that they died.
