For someone who is the favourite to win, I find it interesting just how forgettable James is.

I'm watching last night's show, and until his random conversation with Jenna (around 15 minutes in), I failed to remember he was even in there. I felt similar when he appeared during the conversation where Natasha felt she was being ganged up on by the Americans.

Do you agree? Does James play into the dynamic of this season entirely well? Does he deserve to be favourite to win?

Nah, he's boring

I'm finding him more likeable than I expected, but yeah I can't say I find him especially entertaining.

I don't get why he's favourite, he isn't exactly centre of attention, doesn't say a lot and I find him pretty boring.

He looks very nice laying in the bath.

He's one of the main 'characters' though, he's always perched on the highlights and live feed.

He's interesting, nice and fun and for me he's the best to watch.

I like him more than I expected to!

I really don't like this "people only like him because he's hot" thing, why would he be my favourite, a straight guy if this was the case?.

I like James, a very cool guy.. He hasn't been a dick or a twat and he handles arguments really well. He may not be the most entertaining but saying that.. aggressive/vileness/argumentative etc is what people claim to be entertaining these days.

Quite boring when Farrah isn't gracing him with some air time. Gail > James

He gets way more of a variety of air time than her, his isn't just constant, repetitive rowing and insulting people.

I dont understand his fanbase either. Its not just the bookies, he's topping the polls too. But I guess its just a lack of competition really!

He's a nice guy, very level headed and he stands up for himself. If you watch live feed then you'll know he's also a lot of fun. I also love his close friendship with Austin.

He is marginally better than Sherrie!

He features more than most UK people, and unlike the other UK people, he features not only when in a row. Also, he comes across extremely well on Live Feed.

He's my favourite because he can calmly stand up to Farrah, but then spends the majority of the time having a laugh. Whereas a lot of the others spend the majority of the time either moaning, crying, having a row, shouting or moaning about a previous shouting match.

Farrah only gets her airtime on her screaming like a banshee. He doesn't need that.

He's been one of the dullest housemates this series for me, I'm baffled by his support but I imagine the majority of it comes from the 'fit innit' brigade that likes to troll the show these days, nothing more, nothing less, which ironically could be the tagline for his 'personality'.

What you find boring, others don't. I'm certainly not trolling and am not a member of 'eez fit' or would have stanned people like John James :hee:

I'd say the people who support bullies and ***** like Helen and get her to win are the biggest trolls.

James is normal and likeable and actually featured a lot behind the 3 obvious ones so people need to stop questioning his support.

I didn't say everyone that supports him are trolls, just the ones that vote for people based purely on how they look, if you want to support him because of the way you perceive his 'personality' then crack on, but the majority of people who like probably only like his aesthetic 'appeal'

His personality is friendly, warm, up for a laugh, interesting and funny, to me. Believe me all you want but I can promise you now I wold NOT be stanning him if I didn't like his personality.

If that was the case and most people 'probably' only like his looks someone good looking would be the favourite and win every year...

No way. Cristian was gorgeous, but he was never favourite to win. Not only that but his looks actually got him hated. James is very good looking, but he's also really funny and genuinely lovely. And his friendship with Austin is great!

but you have to be aggressive and a twat to be entertaining and to have a personality these days... If James was that then he will still get hate. He's far from boring with Gail/Bobby/Sherrie(even tho i like her) there.

I expected James to be an ass, but instead he's actually a really nice guy. He's also really funny and very competitive, which i love in a housemate.

Who talks sense and handles arguments like an adult which is great tbh. He is a very loyal person

He has a lot of empathy, which is great. Yesterday he was talking to Jenna, after she got upset. He was even nice about Farrah, who is always extremely nasty to him.

I don't see his appeal as a housemate whatsoever, he offers nothing and he's done about as much as Bobby, his friendship with Austin is disgustingly fake and forced, the only time he's made me laugh was a moment orchestrated by Queen Natasha, his voice is dreary and he never says anything of substance or of worth, he's as interesting as a scouring pad, complete dullard who doesn't deserve even half of the support he has.

It is super annoying when people like a 'attractive male' and people make out you only like them because of their looks, it's a bit unfair tbh accusing people of being shallow when they don't even know the facts. No one says anything about supporting an attractive female..I've never even seen that tbh.

I like that James is having fun and doesn't spend his whole time bitching and moaning. I don't think i would watch if James and Austin were not there.

HOW is his friendship with Austin forced? They clearly get on very well naturally and have forged a strong friendship, there is no gain from either pretending to be friends with someone in the house.

You can like who you want to like for whatever reasons you like boo, I'm not saying any different, I'm just saying, the majority of his fans probably only like him because of the way he looks, not all, the majority, most likely woman - no offence to women - I'm not trying to change your mind, I'm just sharing my opinion on him and him being favourite.

I just don't find that friendship genuine at all, they're both attention *****s, but James strikes me as a guy who went in there with the aim of striking up a bromance with anyone who'd have him, he just lucked out and had a gay guy to do it with, gays will love it and women will love it, fake as Farrah's tits imo (I assume they're fake, I don't care enough to research **** about her).

Boring no way there are a lot more housemates who are more boring than James.

James has surprised he is not how I thought he would be he is lovely, reasonable, down to earth, love his bromance with Austin, being real to his self and not to forget he is good looking.

Why would he go in there looking for a bromance? :joker: It's not as if they would get any mag deals from it or anything

I think the way they interact on live feed etc, that 's a genuine friendship which is really nice to see in a house which is otherwise full of bitching and scheming

James and Austin are the cutest thing i've ever seen on the show. They're so affectionate towards each other. Always kissing and hugging. :lovedup:
