Porn - Right or Wrong?

Just reading through some posts regarding Jenna Jameson and her career in the Porn industry. And I was quite taken aback by some peoples views. So basically the questions I'm asking are, what are your thoughts on Porn? What are your thoughts on the women and men who work in the industry (because people like to forget that men participate as well as women) Should porn be illegal?

lostalex 14-09-2015 10:52 AM

right. i watch it every day.

I love seeing beautiful men's bodies naked. They are the modern greek statues.

Tom4784 14-09-2015 10:53 AM

As long as the actors are safe and happy to work in that industry then I have no issues with it.

Liam- 14-09-2015 10:54 AM

I wouldn't consider it as a profession but each to their own, if you're good at it, are happy doing it and can support yourself doing it then crack on.

Yeah same here, I do hate the slut shaming that goes along with it though and by people who are happy enough to watch it. Always only towards the women as well

No Of Course Not

No Church Folks have big support

lostalex 14-09-2015 10:55 AM

If i had a beautiful body and someone wanted to pay me to take pictures of it, i would have no issue at all.

look at the number of people now with webcams who show themselves naked on cam for free! they don't even want to be paid! they do it just for the thrill!

Porn is beautiful and natural.

the only people who don't like porn are the people jealous that they aren't hot enough to show themselves. people who are ashamed of sexuality and nudity.

this is the 21st century. if you have a problem with nudity then you should move to Iran!

porn is highly regulated. there are no underage porn stars. and even if there are they most certainly are not children.

I've never seen anyone who looks pre-pubescent on any porn i've ever seen. have you?

Black Dagger 14-09-2015 11:02 AM

If people want to take a cock on camera and get paid for it, it's their prerogative. As long as they are safe then good for them.

exactly, and especially young men. i've noticed in the last 5 years there are far more straight boys doing gay porn to make some extra cash, it's fantastic.

as porn is becoming more normalized, and also homosexuality is more normalized, we get to see far more straight guys doing gay porn when they are college aged while they need some extra cash.

It's beautiful. Finally men are being subject to the same pressures women have always been to take off their clothes for cash.

It's definitely a big step forward against sexism.

user104658 14-09-2015 11:22 AM

I find it sadly boring these days, however, I have no moral issue with it.

bots 14-09-2015 11:29 AM

Porn encompasses too broad a field to give a right or wrong answer. At its mildest, it could be what is considered titillation, at its extreme ... well, its everything that's wrong with society.

Many people involved in porn are exploited and/or abused and this is the area that needs control and made illegal, but how is it stopped? I don't think it can be to be honest.

smudgie 14-09-2015 11:46 AM

My only problem is with the sex traffickers.
Anyone taking part in porn, the making of it or watching of it is up to them.
If you don't like it then simply don't watch/read it.

Crimson Dynamo 14-09-2015 12:02 PM

Iv never looked at it

Sounds rude

Northern Monkey 14-09-2015 12:19 PM

I like it and have nothing against Jenna.Although she has ruined a good few of my socks in the past.
She is old school though and a little boring now.
She has got me through some tough times though.

I don't like it , I would be devastated if my son or daughter thought so little of themselves that they could not earn money in a more suitable way.I do not respect people in the industry ,and from what I have seen they seem to be all the same 'type'I also think it cheapens sex and can cause certain people to go on to worse things.that is MY opinion,it wont be popular but I have answered the question that was asked.

As long as people are safe and it's their decision
I don't like the slut shaming either

I agree, I don't have an interest in it myself but if nobody is getting hurt non-consensually then there shouldn't be a problem.

mrflibble 14-09-2015 02:07 PM

I don't care what people do if it's all consensual.

But I do think porn in general is really creepy. I don't understand why people enjoy watching other people put their bits in other people's bits. It disgusts me, tbh. I might as well be watching someone doing a poo. It's a private moment, it's not a turn-on, it's just gross. I have no idea why it's so accepted by people as being the 'norm'. But as I said, if the acts are consensual and no-one's getting hurt, I don't really care. But personally, I'm creeped out by people liking it.

sometimes they do...:hehe:

Calderyon 14-09-2015 02:29 PM

Regular porn i´m fully in favor of, but then there are categories that are well... weird and disturbing and cannot bring myself to condone.

I´m talking about things like piss, scat, spit or bestiality. And these sado/maso or humiliate things.

JoshBB 14-09-2015 04:04 PM

I view it as an aspect of social liberalism. If people want to take part in porn, let them. I don't believe that porn has a negative affect on people so long as they can also receive proper sex education at schools, more than the current system which only teaches limited aspects of sex, mostly for only reproduction and not pleasure.

Agree. I'm not going to pretend I don't watch it and I have no problem with it being an industry in principle but there's no question that it is rife with exploitation. I wouldn't use the word 'right' for it because I don't think it's admirable, it can encourage damaging stereotypes and abuse and there should always be a big effort made to ensure there are no illusions about that. Someone like Jenna Jameson is one of the rare, lucky ones who have become big enough stars through it that they can have it pretty good but that's not the reality for the vast majority of porn actors/actresses.

Daniel. 14-09-2015 05:42 PM

Right.

Liam- 14-09-2015 05:45 PM

I definitely don't think it's an admirable profession, it's not like a doctor where you think 'oh wow, good on you, your parents must be proud!' it's more of a 'oh, okay then' but then I don't think it's necessarily a profession to be ashamed of, it's just a bit so so for me, do it if you want to, but I'm not going to congratulate a person for doing it.

What is Porn ? If two consenting adults make a sex tape... and then watch it, is that Porn ?

Is viewing all sex acts classed as Porn. Are there degrees of Porn not sure I can answer that.

Kizzy 15-09-2015 11:50 AM

In an ideal world it would be everything within the confines of social acceptability performed by those who are safe and consenting.
Except it isn't an ideal world.
