Mum’s anger as school confiscates 14-year-old son’s e-cig

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ws-_-240935283

in your opinion , did the school make the right call?

Niamh. 24-09-2015 11:35 AM

Well, considering you have to be over 18 to use one then yes absolutely

Crimson Dynamo 24-09-2015 11:35 AM

Where do i start

Kizzy 24-09-2015 11:41 AM

Yes.

Xtopher 24-09-2015 11:42 AM

God yes, I didn't even start smoking until 18.

Tom4784 24-09-2015 11:42 AM

The school's in the right. Plenty of people have quit smoking without the use of E-Cigs so that's not an excuse.

Really? You'd think you'd have enough sense by then to not start smoking, my excuse is that I was young and stupid

Crimson Dynamo 24-09-2015 12:03 PM

RichardG 24-09-2015 12:23 PM

Good, surely it is not appropriate to be smoking anything in school?

Crimson Dynamo 24-09-2015 12:29 PM

I think the main issue here is the silly woman thinking he cannot stop, take away all his bloody money and belt his bloody ears you silly cow

jesus

lostalex 24-09-2015 12:30 PM

this mom should be in jail. this might be the chaviest thing i've ever heard of. this belongs on jeremy kyle, he'd sort it out.

Livia 24-09-2015 12:30 PM

Mother of the Year.

bots 24-09-2015 12:34 PM

there are plenty of nicotine replacement therapies available sanctioned by Doctors and available via prescription if the child did indeed have a problem. I call bollocks on the whole story and see it as an advertising stunt too.

Northern Monkey 24-09-2015 01:53 PM

I would've been well pissed if the teachers had confiscated my joint at school:laugh:
We used to roll up in class and smoke weed at break time.lol.
If e-cigs are the worst thing kids are doing these days then things are definately improving.
I think the school should've given the devise to the parent to decide what to do with it.
The school has no right to keep something they did'nt pay for.

Ashley. 24-09-2015 01:55 PM

Is it even worth debating this though tbh

Of course the school was in the right. And there are 14-year olds these days doing much worse, too!

Bring back the ****ing cane

Crimson Dynamo 24-09-2015 02:12 PM

If he was my lad I would have got him smoking a pipe, like a man and not some girls e-cig thing

A bulldog comoy with some lovely 1-Q in it and he would have been quite happy

I didn't at all, I went to a pretty rough school teachers didn't hit kids when I was at school, they would have been sued and fired same as today. Hitting kids in school was more my parents generation which was alot longer than 20 years ago

Yeah, I was joking. I went to school a long time ago and the cane was normal for misbehaving - pretty bad incidents though admittedly. For persistent offenders, the old headmaster personally meted out punishment with a huge size 12 tennis shoe which he dubbed 'Big Bertha' after a World War 2 French Field Gun, I believe.

i once got the belt 12 times in 1 day ... teachers were sadistic so and so's in my day :D

Crimson Dynamo 24-09-2015 05:03 PM

Once in primary :umm2: i was to get the belt and the teacher went to another class to get it thinking it was there, whilst she was gone my pal stephen got the belt from his drawer and chucked it up on a cupboard, when the (woman) teacher came back muttering and looked her drawer inside out before saying that I was lucky she could not find it and i got off

:hee:
