Reading words over and over until they don't look like words any more
 

Does anyone else get this from time to time? If you just stare at a word and think "how the **** does that spell the thing that's in my head" or something.

I remember being sat in a cafe one time and I read the word "pink" over and over and basically had a bit of a meltdown and worried that I was high.

Yeah I get this too, or if you say a word too much you start thinking 'hold on that's not sounding right'

I get this all the time! The most recent one was the word eight- I ended up having to google the number just so that I could check I was pronouncing it right...

I do this all the time, usually when i'm about to tweet something. I would look at it and go "nah, **** this"

yes but only if i say it too much and then it sounds well weird

Especially with names, it's weird how common names can look weird all of a sudden.
