If Emma goes into labour, I'd imagine that Rylan is the stand-by. Dermot was when Davina was pregnant, so I'd imagine that they'd follow that pattern.

Emma is due in May, so I can't help but think they'll move Big Brother back to June to avoid the chance of having to find a stand in host actually happening.

I just hope it's not Rylan. I know it would make sense with him being the secondary presenter and all, but he's not up for the main presenting job, BOTS is a stretch for him as it is. I hope they have some sense and hire an ACTUAL presenter.

Davina was practically crowning in BBs 4 and (I think) 10.

It´s going to be Rylan.

Her due date's like may 11th so they probably wouldn't need one but if they did they could have like guest hosts for the weeks she's pregnant or spending time with baby. They should have Davina for the launch!! That would pull in ratings and would be a great launch night twist in it's own right!

But I see something like:

Launch: Davina McCall
First Eviction: Rylan Clark
Second Eviction: Eamonn & Ruth (or just Eamonn)
Third Eviction: Matt Johnstone
Fourth Eviction: Cherry Healey
Fifth Eviction: Dermot O'Leary (He'd probably say yes now he doesn't do XF)

And that would probably be enough until Emma can work again.

And did Dermot ever cover for Davina? If anyone remembers what series it was, I'd love to see it!

With Emma reportedly due on the 11th and a May launch date rumoured again, If Emma goes 10 days over that will be the 21th and by the time she got recovered. So say the show launched on 10th. Emma would likely miss the launch plus two or three live shows. I think the easiest thing to do would be get Rylan to stand in and just have guest hosts for bots.

I sadly agree with Jack. they will throw Rylan out and make him host... Emma pop that sucker out before launch, for our sake!

Maybe she can bring her immigration reforms and ban all new housemates from entering?

Rylan might do double shift, i think. Or they´ll divide the week, with Rylan doing Monday through Thursday and someone else doing Friday through Sunday.

Given that Emma is basically a producer's puppet these days (except for her "WHERE'S THE LIVE FEED????!!!!!" when the Legends first went in during BB16) they could easily replace her with a sock on someone's hand and achieve the same result.
