Cal. 28-12-2015 11:41 PM

You left off live feed

Jason. 28-12-2015 11:44 PM

I'll be optimistic and say yes given they're giving us some for CBB as well as they gave us some for CBB16 (I'm hoping it's a every series thing now) but we'll see in May

What did BB16 average?

Jason. 28-12-2015 11:49 PM

alol if it averages 1.1m. I actually think it'll rate similar to BB15 (bad, but better than BB16)

didn't think it was as low as that :joker:

Yeah so if it rates lower than that then bye bye normal Big Brother

If CBB can only manage 1.9m, I can't see BB getting above 1.4m unless they have a serious re-think

And we all know that Channel 5 and the concept of thinking don't go hand-in-hand

Denver 28-12-2015 11:52 PM

Just axe it and air another CBB

CBB16 did bad because BB16 did bad. Isn't it a fact the summer CBB usually rates about an additional 0.5m more than the Civilian BB it follows.

BB13 - 1.6m > CBB10 - 2.2m
BB14 - 1.9m > CBB12 - 2.3m
BB15 - 1.6m > CBB14 - 2.1m
BB16 - 1.4m > CBB16 - 1.9m

Will poor Jonathan ever catch a break

Jason. 28-12-2015 11:54 PM

tbh BB15 didn't rate that bad. It rated okay (the same as BB12 and BB13 did) but because it followed a CBB which rated 3.1m and a Civilian BB which rated 1.9m (both highest on C5 at the time) it looked like it did rubbish.

Only because the whole nation was too busy watching the Olympics during BB13 and caught up afterwards tbh

The late entrees will prob all be females to boost the gender balance.

Jason. 28-12-2015 11:57 PM

Caroline's eviction having like 3 viewers brought the overall series average down from like 1.8m to 1.3m within a matter of a week

(it'll probably be advertised somewhat as going 'back to basics', a premise it'll stick to for the best part of half an hour, it'll start in June after Emma has spawned, fourteen will enter originally, then two more will enter as part of some sort of couples' twist, every nomination process and eviction will be highly and unnecessarily convoluted but will eventually result in a woman going first, there'll be no live feed except for half an hour after evictions and a handful of people will be mildly annoyed about this fact, the ratings will begin shockingly low and will lead to the newspapers still vaguely interested in BB to proclaim that it'll be axed before you can say 'Rylan Clark-Neal' and will pick up slightly by the end but nowhere near enough to save it from becoming the least-viewed series of anything ever, it'll last 64 days even though it was fairly obvious that the producers had planned for longer, a white man will win because this is Big Brother and next week's lottery results will be available on my wall, ta rah luvs)

I wonder if they will evict half of them if they decide it's boring a few weeks in this time?
