F1 2016 - Nico Rosberg Retires As F1 World Champion
I'll start updating this come Wednesday when we get the first look at the returning Renault. Also a moments silence for Crashtor who managed to buy a career for himself.
|
Big fan of the new Renault.. although i do agree with a lot of people on social media complaining about how dull the cars are becoming. This is nice but not a stand out car.

A bit more yellow behind the cockpit and it would be great. Also how bizarre Jack and Jones being a sponsor. Where they always there??
|
Got my flights booked to see the American GP :amazed:

Really excited to see a American based team in the F1 this year with Haas F1 however. |

Not feeling the cars at all this year.. Hardly any variety on the grid. They all seem to be too dark and similar.
|

Wish F1 would reconsider the newly introduced age limit in light of Verstappen's stunning triumph.

British Grand Prix qualifying at 1:00PM. We actually had a pretty good race last time.
|
I wonder if Nico will be penalised for those radio messages then.

Definitely not allowed to tell them not to use a gear. |
That win in Japan may have sealed Nicos championship hopes now :hee: I don't really like Nico that much but I really dislike Lewis so .......
Oh and guess who's going to be at the next race? :hee: |
Japanese Grand Prix was quite a decent race.
|
US GP qualifying on now. Button out in Q1.
They're showing a lot of celebs on the TV coverage. I haven't spotted Niamh. |
Rosberg grabs second on grid in Mexico. Thought he might be down a bit. :S
|
I'm in Abu Dhabi. Photos to come during the week

It looks like Rosberg has got this championship. |
Come on Nico
|
Hamilton totally trying to hold Nico up
|
Totally legit tactic, it was the only way Lewis could get the title in that race, don't know what the team were thinking - telling him to speed up, but well done Nico.
|
The Mercedes team are a joke, imagine having a chance to win the title after a years worth of work only to pretty much be told not to fight for it at the end.. Lewis did the right thing. I'm happy for Nico but he isn't even in the top 3 drivers in the championship, he never really does anything out of the ordinary and in times where he's had to pull something out of the bag he messes things up for either himself or the team. can't help but think hes got really lucky this year. I guess thats F1 though, the most powerful cars win and not always the best drivers.. Verstappen on the other hand :worship: can't wait to see more of him next year

Yes. Get in Nico. Hamilton trying dirty tactics and not working. Enjoy that number 2 position. German World Champion in a German team.
|
Hamilton did Nico a favour really, he made his championship win even more deserved. So happy that smug asshole didn't win
|

Or they wanted to win the race and Lewis could have seriously jeopardised that |

I've completely gone off Lewis this past year, i'm not really a fan of him or who hes become anymore but the team didn't give a toss about him or his title challenge today. The majority of the team always seem anti Lewis and pro Nico. Plenty of times throughout the year when drivers ignore team orders which are going against them in order to race and compete who get praised for making the sport more entertaining and watchable |

Also, felt really sorry for Jenson with his car packing in on his final race :(
|
Jenson deserved such a better send off  he didn't seem too disappointed though which was good
