CELEBRITY Big Brother beauty Danielle Lloyd last night lifted the lid on what really went on behind the scenes in the race row which rocked the world.

And in her exclusive chat with the Daily Star we can reveal how:

Jade Goody had told Dani she would never speak to Shilpa Shetty again – and then suddenly did a U-turn after her private diary room session;
The gobby lass blabbed to the celebs on her eviction night that their antics had caused big trouble in the outside world;

lTV bosses tried to ban Dani from the after-show press conference as they were worried what she would say about the show and how she had been treated;

She only got to make a public statement when Shilpa stepped in and demanded that she be allowed to join them;
Viewers were never shown footage of her and Shilpa swapping prezzies as best mates as well as diary room chats in which sexy Dani told BB bosses she didn’t find the Oxo cube row funny.

Danielle revealed: “There is a lot which has not been shown. I have been branded a racist and it’s not fair – if people knew the whole picture, they’d have a different view.”

The former Miss GB, 23, told how tensions were mounting in the house before the bust-up between Jade, 25, and Shilpa, 31, which started out over a shortage of Oxo cubes.

“You could sense a row was brewing but no one could have predicted this,” she said. “I had had a row with Shilpa on Carole’s eviction night because I got drunk and called her a dog – which I regret.

“And I had had a go because she had picked out onions from my food. But that wasn’t being racist – that was because it was a hygiene thing.”

Then came the massive argument in the house just as Channel 4 had become embroiled in a row in the outside world over racist bullying towards the Indian actress.

Viewers were left stunned by the clash between Jade and Shilpa which rocked the BB house – and were even more surprised to see Dani and pal Jo O’Meara, 27, laughing all the way through it. But the giggles were just down to nerves, says Dani.

“I hate confrontation and we thought this row will either end in laughs or violence,” she explained. “I didn’t step in because I was worried that Jade might turn on me.”

Not long after Dani sussed something was wrong in the world outside the house because Jade’s behaviour suddenly changed.

“After the big row Jade actually said to me: ‘I am never gonna speak to Shilpa again,’” said Dani. “Then she gets called to the diary room and later we saw her go into the garden and start having this private chat with Shilpa.

“We wondered what was up. She was acting all strange. Then she starts apologising and the pair go into the diary room together.

“It was obvious something had been said to her to change her behaviour like that.”

When Danielle was hauled before BB bosses and asked to explain her comments about wanting Shilpa to “******* off home” she admits she was still clueless about the race row controversy rocking the outside world.

But when Jade was evicted – to the sound of no crowd – the penny dropped.

Dani said: “Before she left she told us what had been going on. She said to us: ‘You’ll be all right now.’ She knew there would be no crowd for her and then of course we knew things had gone on outside which is why Jo and I started to worry.

“We were sh***ing ourselves but we had no idea just how big this had got.”

Danielle says that when she left the house on Sunday night and had to face the booing crowds and hate mobs, she was stunned to learn that millions of viewers considered her a racist.

And she was desperate to make a public statement about her behaviour to stop herself from being such a hate target.

However she got a shock when Channel 4 and Endemol chiefs at first turned down her request to go into the after-show press conference – until Shilpa intervened.

“I still don’t know why they tried to stop me,” she said. “They controlled my life in that house and they were still trying to control it on the outside as well.”

Dani is also fuming because – having spoken to pals – she knows there are things which went on in the house which have not been shown to viewers. And she feels they could have changed people’s views of her.

She said: “After the Jade row I did go into the diary room with Cleo and we said that we had never seen Jade so angry.

“We made it clear that we didn’t find the row funny. But no-one saw my explanation.

“When Shilpa and I made our peace we became good friends. She borrowed my jeans and we swapped bangles. I gave her some nails.

“And yet none of this was shown. It seems that I was edited in one way and that was all the viewers saw.”

Dani added: “People seem to think Jade and I and Jo all got together and ganged up on Shilpa like it was some plot.

“But we just got along as mates because we are the same age group.

“I won’t deny what I said … but I am not a racist and never have been. I’ve just been stupid.

“I do feel I have come out a different person though – and a better one.”

I'm still not sure on what to believe. They all seem to be holding their hands up and saying... "it wasnt me guv... it was edited to look like that"

The best thing that she can do is to lie low a little and wait till the media watches some other celeb falls from grace

It seems to be a game they have been told play by outside advisers. Personally I think it's a foolish game that will just backfire on them.

Why can't they just say they were wrong and that they are sorry and move on.

However its sweet that Shilpa asked to have Dani come in. That said, these girls are playing a dangerous game and are looking to destroy themselves.

The should just go away from the media

she cant blame the editing .. she knew full well before going in Endemol/ channel4 retain the right to edit things however they see fit.. she MUST have known that.. it would have been explained to her before she went in.. and she's seen previous BB's and knows the score.

i read she was trying to get the police involved for being "misrepresented" .. Danielle, your digging your own grave ..just go away.

I already had noticed it, and seeing it immediately just annoyed me - after all that's happened, she just strips off and does another photo shoot? The girl just doesn't learn and after her despicable behaviour in the house the least she could do is be a bit more modest and give an appropriate interview!

I think its stupid if they didn't show them swapping presents.

Jo is a shaking broken woman, and does an interview on GMTV for nothing, ..meanwhile, Danielle strips to her undies and gets paid a tidy sum.

And yeah I wish they would show the present swapping and put the whole thing to rest. At the end of the day yeah they made mistakes but they need to get back on track now!

She is distraught at the moment, no way would she do those photoshoots. When has she had time? Shes been doing interviews all weekend.

If she did do the photoshoot, then despite everything I'm disappointed. Yes of course she's done wrong, but I wanted to give her the chance to modestly admit it and concentrate on rebuilding her life. In spite of her behaviour, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt so hopefully she hasn't thrown that down the drain. Because if so, instead of adding to putting the whole thing to rest she's only making it worse.

Actually, now that you've brought it up, I don't personally know of any of her fans being above 16.

But sometimes if you want to get your message across, you have to play their game, so if a photographer hands you a teddy and says strip, and you agent is going along with this, then what can you do? :sad:
