Euro 2016: Group F Discussion Thread [Hungary, Iceland & Portugal qualify]
http://i.imgur.com/KM5pqcd.png Teams: Austria Hungary Iceland Portugal Star Players: David Alaba & Marko Arnautovic (Austria) Adam Szalai & Zoltan Stieber (Hungary) Alfred Finnbogasson & Gylfi Sigurdsson (Iceland) Cristiano Ronaldo & Pepe (Portugal) Group Winner Odds: Portugal (10/11) Austria (11/5) Iceland (15/2) Hungary (14/1) http://i.imgur.com/SwVDCWp.png Psychic Pshaun's Reading: The planets are in a muddle with this group and various moons come into play with tumultuous results. The stars have previously aligned behind Cristiano Ronaldo and a wave of energy emanates from the Portuguese man again. The Austrians carry a lot of negative auras and may have left their best days in the Alps behind them. Expect Portugal to emerge leaders, with Iceland the surprise package of the tournament. We shall hope for many hungarians. |
Portugal will easily top the group. Second place is trickier cause the three other teams are fairly even, but i think Austria might have a slightly bigger chance of getting it. Expecting Iceland to finish third. Hungary will be fourth.
i want a surprise in this group, i think Portugal will finish first place, i hope Iceland can surprise us all, and become second, come on Iceland you can do it :cheer: :cheer:
Iceland could still make it, if they win just once. I wouldnīt be surprised if they get a tie and a win giving them 4 points, which would be good value in third placers comp. I wouldnīt be surprised if they finished second in this group tbh.
Austria are falling apart here
Hungary wins 2-0. Absolute disaster for Austria, a huge win for Hungary. Was expecting something different, based on Austriaīs showing in the qualification, but i guess getting to the final tournament was too much for them to handle.
This could make 2nd/3rd place fight very interesting. Congrats Hungary. |
here for Iceland surprising everyone and putting the Ronaldo wankfest to bed early
Portugal shouldnīt take Iceland lightly, as they will surprise them given the opportunity.
Portugal scores at 31st minutes and leads 1-0. Donīt know who scored yet.
zzzz
Nani was the scorer for Portugal. (And i knew that, but didnīt put that. Why didnīt i put that?)
Bjarnason :clap1:
Game on
Iceland equalizes the game at 50th with a fantastic cross to Bjarnason.
Iceland :clap1:
an Iceland and Hungary top two (even if it's just on alphabetical order), excellent stuff
Game ends at 1-1 and Iceland steal a point from Portugal. Good effort from Iceland.
Deserved. :clap1: |
Yaaaaaaas Iceland (even if it's an undeserved pen) :clap1:
go Iceland
Iceland takes the lead on the latter end of 1st half.
:(
More ****ing flares. Bastard Hungarians.
My heart breaks for Iceland
Oh ffs
Gutted for Iceland :fist:
Hungary equalizes near the end of second half via own goal from Iceland and the game ends at 1-1. Memories of how they equalized against us in 1997 in qualification stage.
Bad luck Iceland. :( Lucky Hungarians :fist: |
Portugal vs Austria ends at 0-0. Austria dodged a bullet there as Portugal controlled the game. Just bad finishing was the reason they didnīt score.
Hungary leads the group after two games. This group will have an interesting and exciting finish. |
a Hungary win over Portugal would be ****ing beautiful. Worst third-placed team confirmed.
Portugal had 23 shots (6 towards the goal) against Austriaīs 3 (1 towards the goal). Thatīs some wasting of opportunities.
Gera scores for Hungary on the 19th minute and thus Hungary lead 1-0 against Portugal.
And Iceland leads 1-0 against Austria.
PK for Austria in the 37th. And... they miss it!
Still 1-0. |
Portugal equalizes the game against Hungary in the 41st minute.
Halftime scores:
Hungary v Portugal 1-1 Iceland v Austria 1-0 |
What a game this is wow
What is happening? 56 minutes and the game is already 3-2 for Hungary.
Hungary are killing it
And now itīs 3-3. Ronaldo as the scorer on 62nd minute.
What is going on
Wow! That was almost 4-3 for Hungary. Just off the post.
