What a complete and utter let down

What a waste of time watching the so called twist revealed. The first part was fine but I cant help but think they had something planned for the second part that they changed their mind last minute and just brought Marco into the diary room asking him the same question over and over how he felt about Chelsea leaving. They have completely lost the plot. We are a week into the series now and they are still chopping and changing houses and if Victoria hadn't walked and Andrew been ejected we would still have the same 18 in there. They need to hurry up the process and turf the people who don't earn housemate status out. I am getting sick of them

Babayaro. 14-06-2016 09:31 PM

Worst 30 minutes in BB history

MTVN 14-06-2016 09:32 PM

Even without all the technical **** ups I don't understand what the twist was supposed to achieve

Now the main house know about the Others and the Others can probably work out that the main house know about them. So what's the point of it all?

thisisdanny 14-06-2016 09:33 PM

I've never been more confused

sampvt 14-06-2016 09:35 PM

They can hear eachother over the friggin fence, its not rocket science is it.

Samm 14-06-2016 09:36 PM

Was it that bad though? Like they messed it up with the ads but the twist wasn't over dramatic or anything, all it's delivered is just more moaning on here :snooze:

DrunkerThanMoses 14-06-2016 09:37 PM

Why dont all the others just march into the main house and refuse to leave?

Guuki 14-06-2016 09:37 PM

I'm still shocked and laughing and trying to analize what just happened.
They called Marco to the diary room to fill up the air time and to hide what is going on in the main house. Completely messy situation.

sampvt 14-06-2016 09:37 PM

Good on Marco for screwing their plans up

Maru 14-06-2016 09:38 PM

Clearly something happened in production that went against their original plans. Big Brother didn't sound like he knew what he was supposed to do.

Vicky. 14-06-2016 09:38 PM

I think Marco was 'supposed' to be chosen as the 'horror' and the others didn't do what the producers expected

I thought at one point they were going to give him the option to switch with chelsea, but then there was a change of heart halfway through the DR bit. No other reason I can think of for that bizarre part of it

Withano 14-06-2016 09:39 PM

I think they planned for an other to be moved into the main house but they ran out of time with the adverts **** up so they just called Marco in for a chat as a "well we have to do something" moment

I don't even think it was just that. The housemates found out about the other house too soon I think. But it's pretty easy for them to hear them if they are all outside.... indoor garden with daily hour long walks or something next time?

Oh, that makes sense, yeah, I agree with you.

DigitalSid 14-06-2016 09:40 PM

They need to put them all in the main house and forget the whole 'others' thing happened.

They knew that the Hms knew about the other house though...that can;t be anything to do with tonights screw up :S

starry 14-06-2016 09:44 PM

I thought it was just a time filling Marco promotion. Someone called into the DR live normally does mean a twist though.

The mess up for me was showing on screen that Chelsea was going with the Others, instead of just leaving it as him not a HM anymore. They would have guessed it anyway I suppose, but that just made it more boring.

Right, but I have to wonder if they were supposed to know "officially" this soon. It just seems like a big mess. I know they can only hide it for a matter of time, but why have the other house then if they will find out in a few days? Not much of a "twist" imo...

liampadams 14-06-2016 09:44 PM

Tbh I actually really enjoyed the live part of the show

..and that is just after only 1 week too, makes you wonder what now is the point of 2 houses at all.

Maru 14-06-2016 09:45 PM

I'm just thinking they may have had to change tonight's plans based on that. I don't even think they were supposed to find out this quickly "officially"... at least it doesn't seem that way

Poor production

Exactly. What did people want, the usually dramatic VT shown to the housemates? Live noms?

This is the most C4-like thing they've done in terms of revealing something. Instead of a VT it was just revealed verbally by Big Brother, far better.

The technical errors were a mess, and it doesn't seem like the producers planned it well (wtf dragging Marco in the diary soon for a chat, and showing us) but still, I think it's great we didn't get the usual C5 tacky reveal, and got something more like you would have seen in the C4 days.

I don't think a 30 minute show was necessary though.

Yes, it was that bad. All they did was move Chelsea into the other house, which did not require a seperate 30 minute live show for it to happen. The way in which they got The Others to choose Chelsea was also pathetic as it would have made much more sense to actually tell them what their decision actually was and not some "who's the biggest horror" rubbish. It was really unprofessional on Channel 5's part

Enuff with all that defending. It's a big scam, nothing else anymore.

Agree plus making Hughie stand up to announce their decision was pretty dumb

Nothing about this twist seemed at all planned or thought through and they're just making more problems for themselves down the line because I really don't think they know where they're going with it all

andybigbro 14-06-2016 10:37 PM

It was so bad!

What even did I watch?

BB-J*I*N*X 14-06-2016 10:39 PM

wish I hadn't bothered ZZZZZ channel 5 are HOPELESS

zakman440 14-06-2016 10:42 PM

The twist itself wasn't a bad idea, but it was executed terribly and didn't need a 30 minute show on Channel 5. They easily could've streamed it on the website or added it on to the last part of the highlights without the ad break kerfuffle.

I think you are part correct. They were hiding what was going on in either house because quite simply nothing was going on. Conversations stalling total boring viewing from either side.

So in desperation they created a false mystery with Marco which kept viewers watching thinking there was more to the twist.

No one seems to have noticed that the program was advertised as Emma reveals that BB twist. Where was she ? Wouldn't surprise me if she refused to present over such utter rubbish

zakman440 14-06-2016 11:09 PM

I ran a poll over on Twitter - they did NOT like the twist tonight:

Clootie Dumpling 14-06-2016 11:17 PM

I think it was Chelsea asking what happened to Andrew that started the series of cock-ups. As many posts on here have said, it looks as if they were trying to fill a 30 minute slot, but couldn't use the material they'd already planned to use. I think they pulled the plug in a panic - several times, before inviting Marco to perform in the DR, which he didn't on this occasion.

It looked more like a live feed when it started. Then Marcus coming in with a booming voice, but there was a lot of awkward silence. Just so confusing.

I would've liked to have seen Emma tonight. She could've cut in and filled up the time until they figured it out.

y.winter 15-06-2016 06:28 AM

Even Emma couldn't bother showing up for the live twist.
Fail.

It's easy.

Chelsea is now in the Udder House, and has to work to become a genuine housemate again.

It ain't rocket science.

Nicky91 15-06-2016 07:12 AM

so the producers wanted to save Marco with this twist, good on the others for not choosing him :D

now if he's put up for eviction, his fate lies in the hands of the public/viewers, and i don't think he's quite likeable, so he might be going home

Add to that a series of bloopers by a junior as it was all live and hey presto :joker:
