It may not be Boris.

It could be a Lady

joeysteele 24-06-2016 07:39 AM

I really felt for him, I rarely agreed with him on policy as to the weakest in society and on the NHS but he is a far better man to be Prime Minister than Boris Johnson ever will be in his whole life.

I hope someone like Matt Hancock can come through for the Conservatives as a possible candidate for the leadership.
Not Boris, no way, not any day and hopefully not ever, for me.
What a turncoat he proved to be.

This was Boris's real plan, had Cameron comedown for out, he would have led the in campaign.
He may not be the first candidate throwing his name forward,he may wait and see for a while and then be there eventually, one things for sure he will be there.

It has been Johnson's plan since he abandoned his promise to not even think of seeking election to Westminster until he had fully completed his London Mayor terms.
Then jumped at the chance in may last year, over a year before his Mayoral term closed, to then go on to stab the PM on this EU issue, only to further his own greed and ambition to replace him.

How I hope he fails in that and if he does, it will be a well deserved comeuppance.

Yes Crying at the last word,

Again it may be a Lady PM , next.

bots 24-06-2016 07:56 AM

I predict he will change that 3 months to a few days, after the markets have settled. He cannot continue as PM with a time limit of 3 months, his authority has already gone.

He knew this could happen, thats why he was able to take the referendum on knowing this was his last term in office anyway.

Livia 24-06-2016 07:58 AM

Cameron had no choice but to leave. I don't know why people are surprised. And for most of the next three months Parliament will be in recess anyway.

Boris is very popular with Conservative members and they're the ones who will choose the next leader. If Labour have any sense they'll take this opportunity to get rid of Corbyn before they present themselves as unelectable at a general election.

arista 24-06-2016 07:58 AM

Trump is in Scotland Today
he said Out of EU would be Best.

This will Boost the Donald
in Scotland Golf Course

Can't see all those MPs giving up their summer break willingly. Of course some of them work in their constituencies during the recess. And some... don't.

Yeah... People were saying that about Brexit yesterday. And a Tory majority last year.

Assuming these political trends are global and not just local, I think at this point he actually has a very real chance. I'm not saying it's "likely" per se but certainly there's a significant chance.
