The Natalie and Pauline comparisons need to stop

The comparisons between them is a bit silly because they are nothing alike, different storylines and different personalities. Just because they are both black females, same age and got angry doesn't mean they are similar.

Vanessa 24-06-2016 09:29 PM

Poline

Pete. 24-06-2016 09:29 PM

Agreed its a non existent comparison anyway

Raph 24-06-2016 09:29 PM

:clap1: well said Luke!

Oaker 24-06-2016 09:29 PM

Yeah it's ridiculous imo

Oaker 24-06-2016 09:30 PM

Like what did Pauline even do apart from bully Jale?

Will. 24-06-2016 09:30 PM

Yeah it's because there both black, pathetic comparison tbh.

Ross. 24-06-2016 09:30 PM

Great post Luke

Completely different storylines, personalities and house roles = nonsensical comparison

Lowkey racist?

Cooked and danced in the bath

Amy Jade 24-06-2016 09:32 PM

I genuinely don't get the comparison at all.

Captain.Remy 24-06-2016 09:33 PM

Pauline getting my vote because (unpopular opinion coming) she gave the final pass to Helen.
Apart from that, both are disasters.

Marsh. 24-06-2016 09:33 PM

No different to Nikki and Jayne being compared for being skinny moany white women.

The hunt for an "ism" in everything gets tiresome.

MB. 24-06-2016 09:34 PM

I've been the only one to mention the two in the same post tonight as far as I can see so if you'd like to direct this at me more explicitly then you can

No. It was all the same.

Drew. 24-06-2016 09:35 PM

I've haven't compared the two of them before but i don't know why the race card has to be played every time two people of the same race are compared. Most housemates this series have been compared to previous housemates who are all similar behaviour/looks wise. Dexter and Chelsea & Jayne and Nikki have been compared loads but this one seems to be kicking up fuss just because they're both black?

What the feck does this post even mean

Braden 24-06-2016 09:36 PM

I personally don't think they're alike at all. The main one being that Pauline wanted to be a dictator in the house (her power trip obviously helped), whereas Natalie just wanted to whisper in people's ears aand get confrontational with people who are just as capable to stand up for themselves as her.

Meaning that "Natalie and Pauline comparisons" is true. And they both did get evicted.

I personally think Jayne's diary room rants are very Nikki like.

The fuss is that both are completely different people and different housemates so honestly where are the comparisons coming from?

As were Andrew, Stuart, Allison, Justine, Marco, Lesley, Sezer, Seany, Sylvia, Sophia, Govan, Rebeckah, Chris, Jemima and Amy and Sally

So why compare Nat and Pauline?

Jason. 24-06-2016 09:38 PM

They're nothing alike. Pauline was a bully who decided she didn't like people based on a 30 second clip she'd seen of them and went for them mercilessly whilst turning the whole house against them and getting others (Helen/Toya) to spread the poison whilst she sat back without an ounce of remorse. Meanwhile, Natalie is just an argumentative (and rude) person who argued with two people who both happened to be favourites.

People are entitled to compare them if they think they have similarities though? Unless they are up front being racist then whats the problem?

Both are bullies and talked people down 24/7. Both thought they would run stuff when they didn't.
Nothing to do with race on my part, they're both atrocious and vile. They happened to be evicted 2nd in their series.

I've never seen a white and black comparison ever and when they are comparisons it's obvious they are not, it's like yesterday someone called Zakiyah night'vonne or something... both are so different.

She's a very poor imitation. Worse than Chanelle's attempts at copying.

When they're cast as the "token black woman" or "token gay" or whatever in typical casts such as this (maybe not the BB17 cast specifically, since half of them are gay), it makes you much more likely to think they've been cast to fit a certain role and not because of who they are... hence Zakiyah and Da'Vonne, particularly when they're stood right next to each other (personally, I don't see a comparison there, but I can see how some can)
