Who the **** will replace him though? Remi Garde?

Cherie 27-06-2016 10:00 PM

Disgrace that he didn't have to answer one question about his tactics in that game ...he gets paid 4.5 million and the Iceland manager is a part time dentist

Gareth Southgate allegedly

I said all along Andy Carroll should have been selected, just for a plan B.

What a trendy resignation, very Cameron style.

Of course he had to go, although he's done a great job, he just didn't have the characters in his team, probably because they're not there.

He'll probably take all the blame, that's just the way it goes, but some of them players should never put the shirt on again, just no heart or not good enough.

You Scots must pissing yourselves, and rightly so, enjoy it.

Alf 28-06-2016 03:19 AM

I want Beckham as Manager.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 28-06-2016 05:09 AM

That's what he gets for being smug about England winning before the match.

Denver 28-06-2016 08:34 AM

Laurent Blanc is my choice

Tarryn 28-06-2016 02:30 PM

Should have gone before the Euros. A truly lifeless & dull individual.
Who would want to play for him
The two best managers we have had were Bobby Robson & Terry Venables.
Players wanted to play for them.
I will never understand the decision to only play Rashford for 5 minutes.
Roy is a total joke. Yes, the players are also to blame but Roy gave them nothing to play for.

Crimson Dynamo 28-06-2016 02:42 PM

arrogant our of touch disaster

Cherie 28-06-2016 03:10 PM

Roy dragged against his will in front of the media

Cherie 28-06-2016 03:13 PM

He is at pains to emphasise he is an ex manager :joker:

Crimson Dynamo 28-06-2016 03:20 PM

Crimson Dynamo 28-06-2016 03:20 PM

Cherie 28-06-2016 03:25 PM

If only some one would do a Roy Keane and come out and say he was **** a la Mick McCarthy

Nicky91 28-06-2016 05:00 PM

Ashley. 28-06-2016 05:07 PM

The toys are well and truly out of the pram.

Crimson Dynamo 28-06-2016 05:11 PM

The guy from the FA "Im not a football expert"

So you would expect that he is not on a panel of 3 to pick the next manager?

guess what?

he is

smudgie 28-06-2016 05:32 PM

Alan Shearer looks to be throwing his name into the hat.
They could do a lot worse than to choose him.

He made the pitch on MOTD last night

Crimson Dynamo 28-06-2016 05:39 PM

Roy said he did not know why he was at the presser today

he felt that as he had resigned he didnt need to be

but he felt someone should be there to answer the frustrations of fans

The guy is beyond deluded

Tarryn 28-06-2016 05:41 PM

Roy should apply for the England job again, knowing the F.A he would probably get it :fist:

He was all over the place last night. First he talked about Roy not having a settled team then five minuted later he's questioning why the team isnt picked on form. Huh!!!!

England could do worse but I also thought he came across as arrogant when he explained that he'd asked the FA about the job a few years ago and bitter that even though he has little management experience he didnt get the job. Not sure what he'd bring to the team as I dont think sitting in a pundits chair is any kind of preparation for being England manager

He was tryng so hard to be the tough guy and ended up not making much sense.

GiRTh 29-06-2016 10:50 AM

England consider Arsene Wenger swoop with Gareth Southgate to be handed interim post after Roy Hodgson quits

Apparenty the Fa want Wenger in the long term.

How do we feel about this?

Me, I welcome it simply cuz its about the only thing that will get him away from Arsenal. If people think Wenger as manger will give the squad any more drive or will signal a better style of play then they clearly havent watched Arsenal play lately.

Crimson Dynamo 29-06-2016 11:27 AM

Big Sam

He would have got that team to at least the semi
